Heavyweight champion: Elijah Burke
Tag Team champions: The Congregation
TV champion: Adam Revolver
Women's champion: Seleziya Sparx
Commentators: Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey
Ring Announcer: Scarlett Bordeaux
Interviewer: Terry Boddie
The commentators welcome viewers to the show. The Saturday Night Special is just days, hours, away. Perhaps the most important night as it pertains to the next iPPV Rage In The Cage and also NWA's next PPV Fall Brawl, both right here in Louisville. Tonight though, in action ...
- Jamin Olivencia & Rob Conway vs The Congregation
- Rump Thump vs Ali Vaez
- Mario Bokara in action
- Rebel vs Seleziya Sparx
- Elijah Burke vs a mystery opponent picked by Cliff Compton
We will also hear from Jessie Belle for the first time since the debut of Tessa Blanchard several weeks ago. Plus the full lineup for the SNS. All that and more as we go down to Scarlett for the introductions for the opening match ...
Match #1
Randy Terrez vs The Body Guy
Randy Terrez defeats The Body Guy @ 5:43 via pinfall after the twisting corkscrew moonsault. With TerreMex and The Fabulous Freebodies set to battle it out at the Saturday Night Special, a 1 on 1 preview here today that leaves the big men on the floor. Big Jon tried to trip Terrez, drawing the attention of The Mexicutioner on the floor. The 2 almost came to blows as Body Guy went for the double underhook facebuster, but Terrez countered and instead back body dropped Body Guy before hitting his dynamic finisher. This meeting may be 1 of the more anticipated non title related tag team meetings in months here in Ohio Valley.

Ringside interview w/ Cliff Compton
Terry Boddie is joined by the #1 contender. Compton says last week was a joke because the only reason he lost was because of The Pope, and everybody knows who this 'Matt Classic' guy is and he should be gone. That's ok though because he still has his shot, and tonight he gets some revenge. Last week, Burke played surprise with him, well tonight the tables are turned. He has a BIG surprise for The Pope and he had better just hope that he still makes it to the Saturday Night Special.
Match #2
J Best vs Mario Bokara
Mario Bokara defeats J Best @ 0:25 via tap out to the standing Fujiwara armbar submission. Another dominant performance by Bokara as he continues to mow down the lower card talent here in OVW since his debut a month ago. Interesting stat thrown out by Gilbert - since arriving here, Bokara has had 4 matches, total combined time in the ring - 2 minutes, 35 seconds. Perhaps the most impressive kick off to a career ever here in OVW, if not anywhere! Bokara wants to finish what he started though, and just like with Deonta Davis, Bokara seems to want to break the arm as he goes back.
From the back though comes Leon Shelly! The partner of Davis in The No Class Connection, clearly out to make sure this does not happen twice. Bokara ignores Best and stands to fight Shelly. The 2 start brawling before Bokara quickly hits a belly to belly suplex to drop Shelly. He goes for the arm, but Shelly rolls away and does a kip up. Bokara charges, but Shelly ducks and connects with a dropkick that sends Bokara to the floor. He is pissed off! The loss of Davis could be Shelly's gain, but it's 1 thing to do it in this scenario, another in an actual match.

Guest commentary by Mary Elizabeth Monroe
Out to join Dean & Gilbert is the now former Women's champion Mary Elizabeth Monroe. She lost the title 2 weeks ago to Seleziya Sparx, but has a chance to regain it at the Saturday Night Special. Monroe says that she's been preparing and is ready for the rematch.
Match #3
Rebel vs Seleziya Sparx
Women's champion Seleziya Sparx defeats Rebel in a non title match @ 5:53 via pinfall after the Spiral Bomb. Taeler Hendrix accompanies Sparx, but plays no role in the outcome. Instead she argues with Monroe and says that when Seleziya beats her, the title will be all hers once again! In the ring, Rebel goes for the split legged legdrop, but Seleziya rolls out of the way. She makes the comeback and hits her finisher. Can any woman in OVW stop the most dominant female? Monroe will try on Saturday.

Ringside interview w/ Jessie Belle
Terry Boddie is joined back with the former Women's champion. Asked on her impressions of Tessa Blanchard, Belle says that she is unimpressed. Sure, she can compete with the bottom feeders, but next week, how about she really tests herself against the former Women's champion, the queen of the locker room, herself! Just like her daddy Tracy Smothers would have whipped Tully Blanchard, she will do the same next week here on TV, if Tessa has any guts to accept the challenge.
Match #4
Rump Thump vs Ali Vaez
Ali Vaez defeats Rump Thump @ 5:32 via tap out to the Vaez Clutch. Unlike other recent wins, Vaez finishes this match off with a new submission. After hitting the running neckbreaker, he locked Rump Thump into the camel clutch. Instead of wrenching back with hands under the chin though, he simultaneously locked in the cobra clutch. Doubling the effect with pain on the lower back with the effect of a second submission hold, and this may be among the more dangerous holds in wrestling today. The commentators note that Rump Thump is a good competitor, but doing that to the larger James 'Moose' Thomas might not be as easy. After the match, Ali takes the mic.
Ali Vaez: "It's that easy haha. And next week, 2 hours, OVW live, I want to make a statement. This Saturday, I beat you Moose. And then next Wednesday, I want to do the 1 thing that Rudy Switchblade couldn't. I want John Cena. North American championship. Accept Cena, assuming you have the guts to show."

Match #5
Elijah Burke vs ?
Last week, Cliff Compton had to take on an unknown opponent, turning out to be a masked wrestler by the name of Matt Classic. Dean teases he thinks he has seen him before. Tonight it's Compton's turn, and what a choice in this non title match. 350 pounds, Kentucky's strongest man, Mr. Marvelous Melvin Maximus! Josh Ashcraft even gives some pre match words on the way out.
Josh Ashcraft: "Last week, you all seemed unimpressed as Melvin Maximus drove a nail through a board with his hands. Tonight though, watch in awe because it won't be a nail. It will be the body of The Pope Elijah Burke! You are going to get snapped like a twig."
Melvin Maximus defeats Heavyweight champion Elijah Burke in a non title match @ 6:27 via countout. Burke put up a strong performance against Mr. Marvelous, but the power was just too much. The bear hug would get locked on, but Burke managed to fight free. The damage may have already been done though as Burke favored his ribs from that point forward. The action would eventually go outside when Burke exited to confront Ashcraft for attempted interference. Maximus would give a Vader attack to Burke from behind, driving him into the ring post. Maximus gets back in before the 10 and takes the win.
With Burke laying on the floor after the match, Cliff Compton comes out with a mic in hand to stand over The Pope as the referee checks on him.
Cliff Compton: "Elijah Burke! Pope, haha. Listen pal, you're playing a game you can't win! You don't mess with Mr. 1859. And this Saturday at the Saturday Night Special, you can kiss your title goodbye because everybody's going to witness the crowning of a new OVW champion! Cliff Compton!"

Saturday Night Special lineup
Director of Authority Jim Cornette is out. In addition to this weekend, next Wednesday, the third 2 hour live special since the move to Wednesday nights, and what a special it will be. The official kickoff to Rage In The Cage and Fall Brawl. Expect anything and everything next week, and maybe even a match announcement or 2.
- Heavyweight Title at stake, Elijah Burke defends vs Cliff Compton
- Tag Team Title rematch, The Wild Boyz vs champions The Congregation, Best 2 out of 3 Falls
- TV Title rematch, Dylan Bostic vs champion Adam Revolver with 2 referees
- Women's Title rematch, Mary Elizabeth Monroe vs champion Seleziya Sparx
- TerreMex vs The Fabulous Freebodies
- Chase Owens vs Jason Kincaid
- James 'Moose' Thomas vs Ali Vaez
- Jamin Olivencia vs Rob Conway
All that and more. So that's this Saturday, the SNS, and then next Wednesday, 2 hours live to air at 8pm on ION affiliate WBNA-TV 21. You won't want to miss either night, and speaking of Olivencia and Conway ...
Match #6
Jamin Olivencia & Rob Conway vs The Congregation
Jamin Olivencia & Rob Conway defeat Tag Team champions The Congregation in a non title match @ 7:15 when Conway pinned Jade Dawson after the Ego Trip. Joining Dawson was Jake Glasure with Stuart Miles seconding from the outside. Despite interference from Miles, it was not enough as Olivencia & Conway were able to work together and put away the champions. As Conway hit Dawson with the whiplash, Olivencia caught Glasure coming in to break up the count with the Standing O. Some redemption for the 2 after a countout loss 2 weeks ago, but now it's all business as next up is the 1 on 1.
And just then!
The Beast is back! Olivencia and Conway ready themselves as they frantically look around. Instead Global Force Wrestling owner Jeff Jarrett comes out laughing with a mic in hand.
Jeff Jarrett: "Hey boys! Haha, that's right. It's me, Double J himself. And for those of you that don't know, that's J-E-Double F, J-A-Double R-E-Double T. What? You were expecting somebody else? Don't worry about him because the beast is caged ... for now. This little buddy-buddy act may have all the fans fooled but I know what's really going on. Both of you want that match for the World Title, but you know what? Only 1 of you can have it. So why don't you cut all the B.S. right now. This Saturday, oh ho, THIS Saturday, to the winner go the spoils. And next week on the live 2 hour special edition of OVW, to the winner goes the beast incarnate, Brock Lesnar! That's right, he will be here and he's hungry. Gotta wonder then, who's the real winner here? Hell, I'd rather lose if that's the case! Haha, good luck gentlemen."
And with that, more to the winner of the Saturday Night Special than just a World Title shot. From Jeff Jarrett's mouth, they will also get the Beast himself next Wednesday, Brock Lesnar. For Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey saying so long until next week, and make sure to be at the Davis Arena live for the Saturday Night Special.
Websclusive match #1
Jason Kincaid defeats Robbie Walker @ 6:17 via pinfall after the Grave of The Fireflies. Accompanied by the injured Jeremiah Plunkett, Kincaid gets a nice win in his debut here against the always iimproving Walker. Kincaid finishes the match with a flipping cutter as Walker was on his knees. At the Saturday Night Special though, Kincaid has a tough challenge against Chase Owens, 2 wrestlers that know each other well.
Websclusive match #2
Paredyse & Ryan Howe defeat Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker @ 7:08 when Howe pinned Jonze after the Chart Topper. With these 4 sitting out the SNS, they got the chance to maybe settle the rivalry here instead. The Rockstar finishes the match with his blockbuster DDT, and the commentators speculate that this may be enough to put them in line for a Tag Team Title shot, and wouldn't it be fitting against The Congregation should they retain, given both men's issues in the past with The Pastor of Disaster Stuart Miles.
