"The Greatest Man that Ever Lived" Austin Aries vs. "The Interstellar Traveler" Paul London
This was the first match of the new format of NWA Guerrilla and showcased two fantastic talents. London was over with the crowd as Aries did his best to antagonize everyone in attendance. Paul would shed his astronaut looking attire as Aries got on the mic.
Austin: Listen space cadet. You really don't want to be in the ring with me tonight, so why not put your little costume back on and just walk away. Go ahead Paul... walk away.
London feints like he's going to grab his gear but instead explodes with a dropsault on Aries who scurries out of the ring as London looks ready for a fight. Austin is frustrated, smacking the apron. Eventually after some theatrics Aries gets back into the ring and the two men face off in a series of chain wrestling ending with Aries getting the upper hand with a beautiful dropkick.
The punking that Aries received at the beginning of the match was completely washed away with that kick as he looked to take the match with a renewed zeal. The match started to pick up the pace with both men being proficient speedsters and risk takers with Aries again taking the advantage planting London with a crucifix bomb! Austin would drive his elbow into the heart of London using his signature pendulum twist. London's shoulders would only be on the mat for two seconds before kicking out, this match wouldn't end so easy. London had to fight back and he scored with a superkick that created separation before coming off the ropes and hitting a springboard tornado DDT! The move only got him a two count as the match continued. The two competitors would trade holds with Aries locking in the last chancery and he really cranked on it trying to put away London but Paul is a fighter and he'd get his foot on the ropes to break the hold. It took so much out of the interstellar traveler, who would favor his neck as Aries smelled blood in the water attacking his opponents weakened neck.
Aries would try for the brainbuster but London knew that it would spell the end if it hit so he fought like a maniac for his survival. Aries would snap off a neckbreaker twisting it into a brainbuster that resulted in a long two count. London was in a lot of trouble but Aries was still looking for the finish as he ascended to the top rope coming off with what looked like a 450 splash. London would roll out of the way and Aries would land on his feet! Paul would pull himself up in the corner but was immediately dropkicked by Aries who looked to finish the match with another brainbuster, but London would fight him off hitting a legsweep DDT for a two count. London still had fight in him as he tried to go up for the London Calling but Aries would cut him off with a super belly to back suplex that left both men in the middle of the ring gasping for air.
The crowd was hot as this match continued with both men putting on an incredible show. The two men would exchange hands in the middle of the ring with London ducking an elbow and trying for the chickenwing facebuster but Aries would fight out of it trying to hit the brainbuster again. London would fight out of the brainbuster. London tried for a quick hurrincanrana but Aries would counter with a sitdown powerbomb for a two count! Aries would pull up the nearly lifeless body of London planting him with a brainbuster that would finally be enough to put his opponent down!
