The commentators welcome viewers to the show. Things are heating up as Rage In The Cage closes in with Fall Brawl close behind. We know about War Games, King of The Valley, and the Heavyweight Title match. What else will we learn tonight? In the ring, scheduled for action ...
- James 'Moose' Thomas vs King Shane Williams
- Robbie Walker & Rump Thump vs Melvin Maximus & Raul Lamotta
- Rebel & Tessa Blanchard vs Jessie Belle & Mandy Leon
- Leon Shelly vs Mario Bokara
- 4th man from Team Davis vs 4th man from Team Jarrett in the main event
Also joining us is Women's World champion Heidi Lovelace, Chase Owens is here to talk about Jeremiah Plunkett's sneak attack last week. But right now it's to the ring for another edition of Timmy Danger's new segment ...
The Danger Zone
Guest: Jim Cornette
Timmy Danger: "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm Timmy Danger, and this is The Danger Zone! Tonight, my guest is a man in the hot seat. He makes the rules so that everybody in the back can break them! Last week he made a controversial decision. Cliff Compton will defend the OVW Title against Matt Classic. The week before, more controversy when he did nothing about Rudy Switchblade costing Ali Vaez the North American Title match with John Cena 2 weeks ago. What's in store for tonight? He is the Director of Authority, Mr. James E Cornette!"
Cornette heads out to a decent pop from the fans, shaking hands with some before getting into the ring.
Timmy Danger: "Alright, 'Louisville Lip', let's get to it. This isn't Terry Boddie throwing out soft balls, this is The Danger Zone! You're in the hot seat here. I wanna know, these fans wanna know, when are you going to take some accountability for not doing your job out here?"
Jim Cornette: "Well nice to see you too Timmy. Who picked that wardrobe, Stevie Wonder? Now as far as me doing my job goes, I don't answer to you. If you want accountability, how's this? The reason Cliff Compton is defending the OVW Title aginst Matt Classic is because it was just a month or so ago right here in the Davis Arena that Matt Classic pinned Cliff Compton 1 on 1. And as for Ali Vaez, I can't just give him a rematch with John Cena for the North American Title like that. Lord knows Rudy Switchblade deserves one just as much, if not more. They were both beat, and lest we forget to mention, I banned Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker from ringside in that match for Ali Vaez, but they showed up anyway. He got his when I put him in the King of The Valley match without having to qualify, and he'll get his when he has to be face to face with Mike Hayes to win it!"
Just then, from the back come the OVW Tag Team champions The Congregation. The Pastor of Disaster Stuart Miles leads out Altar Boy Jade Dawson and Apostle Jake Glasure.
Jim Cornette: "What's this, the Howdy Doody show?"
Stuart Miles: "Funny. Got any more references from 50 years ago? If you like old references, I have one you might enjoy Mr. Cornette. It's a little thing called the 10 commandments. Maybe you've heard of it? The 1 I'm concerned with is 'thou shalt not steal'. Something you clearly don't care to follow."
Jim Cornette: "Ok, I'll play along. What have I stolen?"
Stuart Miles: "What you've stolen Mr. Cornette is the joy for all these fans of seeing yours truly climb the ladder at Rage In The Cage to the Kingdom of Heaven and become the new King of The Valley. The Altar Boy & The Apostle can handle defending the Tag Team Title against whatever secondary tag team you've pulled out to challenge us. They don't need me. Let The Pastor shine on October 10. All hail King Stuart and the good book!"
Jim Cornette: "Actually, I'm kind of glad you brought that up. You 3 will defend the Tag Team Title on October 10 at Rage In The Cage, but there's just 1 problem. Every time we try and crown a new #1 contender out here, something happens. So what I'm going to do is make every team the #1 contender because when you defend the title, it will be in a gauntlet match!"
Stuart Miles: "You can't do that! Thou shalt not ... thou shalt not ..."
Jim Cornette: "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue? Don't worry Pastor because I've got something special in store for you. Last year the King of The Valley match was 6 wrestlers deep. This year though, I've decided to add 2 more! We're upping it to 8, and I'm giving you the chance to win your way into the match right here, right now!"
Stuart Miles: "Haha, finally! Something righteous! Praise the good Lord, hallelujah! Who is my opponent? What mortal man will fail in his quest?"
Jim Cornette: "Oh I didn't say anything about a mortal man. You wanna know who your opponent is? Well SHE can come on out!"
Match #1
King of The Valley Qualifier
And with that surprise proclamation, out comes Seleziya Sparx!? Earlier this year she became the only female participant in the Nightmare Rumble, and now she looks to become the first female participant in King of The Valley. Miles just laughs as he backs off his tag team partners. Cornette & Danger clear the ring. Seleziya stands across from Miles as he begins to berate her. He tells her she has no business in a man's ring. He pokes his finger in her chest as he continues to berate her. She looks at the finger and then looks up at Miles as he finally realizes what he's doing. He starts apologizing as Seleziya promptly boots him between the legs for a low blow. The referee calls for the bell to start the match!
Seleziya Sparx defeats Stuart Miles @ 0:17 via pinfall after the Spiral Bomb. Seleziya immediately picks Miles up and drops him to the mat with the finisher. Seleziya has qualified for King of The Valley and on October 10 will now have the opportunity to climb the ladder and retrieve a guaranteed shot at the OVW Title anytime she chooses! But to do so she will have to outlast Melvin Maximus, Rump Thump, Raul Lamotta, Robbie Walker, Ali Vaez, Mike Hayes, and an 8th participant. Miles rolls out and gets helped off by Glasure & Dawson, consolation coming from the fact that King of The Valley or not, the trio are still Tag Team champions. At least until October 10 when they defend in a gauntlet match against multiple teams.

Ringside interview w/ Chase Owens
Terry Boddie is joined by The Crown Jewel. Last week Jeremiah Plunkett attacked Owens, showing that his injury has healed. At Rage In The Cage, the match has been signed. Owens vs Plunkett. Owens says that he has waited for this opportunity for months now so he'll take what happened last week if it means he finally gets the match. The East was all about serving Plunkett and feeding his ego, and now he's going to feed him something else - a Roaring Elbow right to the face! And then once Plunkett's out of the way, he intends to finally go on to defeat Neville and become the next NWA World Junior Heavyweight champion!
Match #2
Robbie Walker & Rump Thump vs Melvin Maximus & Raul Lamotta
Melvin Maximus & Raul Lamotta defeat Robbie Walker & Rump Thump @ 6:50 when Maximus made Thump submit to the bear hug. After just witnessing a 7th participant join King of The Valley, here we get 4 of the other 6. Maximus continues his streak of dominance with Josh Ashcraft at ringside proudly proclaiming that nobody can defeat his man. The commentators wonder though, will the ladder be what stops him? Can Maximus climb it to get the contract? While matches like this favor him over the others, the ladder has to help favor the other 3.

Match #3
James Thomas vs Shane Williams
The King of Knoxville Shane Williams is out for his OVW debut, or is he? Rather than compete, he heads out with Dapper Dan at his side. Moose wants to know what the hell this is all about. Williams takes the mic from Scarlett on the floor.
Shane Williams: "Hear ye, hear ye, the King is here! For those of you that don't know, my name is the King of Knoxville, Shane Williams! And a man of my royal blood line need not soil his hand on a petty thug like you James 'Moose' Thomas. No, not here for these undeserving, second class commoners. A debut like mine need have the appropriate hype and pomp & circumstance that is befitting of a King. Instead, here tonight, you face Dapper Dan. And after he gets through with you, he will humble you down to kiss my feet!"
James Thomas defeats Dapper Dan @ 4:20 via pinfall after the Moose Kick. Despite the last minute change put forward by The King Shane Williams, Moose is still able to succeed against Dapper Dan here. Dan uses the German suplex to almost put Moose away, but it's not enough. After the match, Moose challenges Williams to get in there. Williams heads up the steps and to the ropes before stopping and turning around. He looks up at Moose and just shakes his head to indicate no. While Williams may have avoided Moose here, he can't run and hide forever and sooner or later, these 2 will do battle.

Ringside interview w/ Heidi Lovelace
Terry Boddie is joined by the NWA World Women's champion. Last seen here in OVW at Futureshock with a successful title defense against Crazy Mary Dobson, Jessie Belle has challenged her in recent weeks. Lovelace says that she heard what Jessie Belle had to say and she's in part right. She did end her OVW Women's Title reign a year ago. That's why she's accepted the challenge and the match is signed for Rage In The Cage. She intends to right the wrong and erase the black mark on her record and move on to face Paige at Fall Brawl. Just then, Belle is out as she passes by Lovelace, on her way to the ring for the next match.
Match #4
Rebel & Tessa Blanchard vs Jessie Belle & Mandy Leon
Jessie Belle & Mandy Leon defeat Rebel & Tessa Blanchard @ 6:42 when Belle pinned Blanchard after the Southern Justice. As with 3 weeks ago in their singles match, Belle against puts away the third generation wrestler with her Gory Bomb finisher. A strong performance from Belle as she continues a hot streak, now on her way to a World Title shot at Rage In The Cage. She took the gold away from Heidi Lovelace once before, can she do it again?

Match #5
Leon Shelly vs Mario Bokara
Mario Bokara defeats Leon Shelly @ 1:36 via tap out to the standing Fujiwara armbar submission. Third time's a charm as Shelly finally is able to do what no other wrestler in OVW has been able to thus far - last over a minute against Bokara. Maybe not for the better though as it seemed to only further anger Bokara. Even with that, he still managed to get the tap out in a under 100 seconds. After the match, Bokara was not done as he picked up Shelly and put him in the keylock! Once again, a message directly toward Daniel Puder, but this time it gets a response as from the back comes Puder!
Puder gets in the ring as Bokara lets go of the hold. He gets up and the 2 stand face to face! Puder tells Bokara to try that with him. Bokara wastes little time going for a right hand, but Puder blocks and fires back! He steps in and hits a takedown on Bokara! The fans are standing as Puder goes for the keylock, but Bokara gets to the ropes and escapes to the floor before he can firmly clench the hold. Puder stands and yells for Bokara to get back in there, but he just looks back before leaving.

Match #6
? vs ?
The War Games match at Rage In The Cage currently sits as Danny Davis leading Jamin Olivencia & Marcus Anthony against Jeff Jarrett's team of Rob Conway & Nick Dinsmore. Here tonight though will be the unveiling of the 4th member of each team as they go 1 on 1. Out first is the newest member of Team Global Force ... OVW TV champion Adam Revolver! The commentators put this over as another coup by Jarrett, first taking away the Lords of The Ring, the heart & soul of OVW, and now an actual champion. His opponent here is Dylan Bostic! Last week, he was caught in the middle of this and it looks like maybe the match with Olivencia was a test to see if he can cut it, and apparently he can.
Dylan Bostic defeats TV champion Adam Revolver in a non title match @ 9:08 via pinfall after the backstabber. These 2 know each other quite well at this point, having competed several times against each other in the last couple of months. The 2 went back and forth with Ray Lynn and Mary Jane in the respective corners, even having a brief scurmish on the outside before Lynn chased M.J. to the back. Meanwhile in the ring, Bostic was able to hit his finisher on Revolver and put him away for the 3. The pinfall marks the second time that Bostic has put Revolver's shoulders to the mat in non title action since the Saturday Night Special back on September 5.
No time to celebrate though as from the back comes Jeff Jarrett, leading out Rob Conway & Nick Dinsmore. The Lords of The Ring get in the ring and immediately start double teaming Bostic, finally triple teaming with Revolver. Jarrett at commentary tells Dean & Gilbert that Bostic just made a huge mistake and won't even make it to the War Games. From the back though comes assistance as Jamin Olivencia & Marcus Anthony are out with Danny Davis behind them! The 2 get in the ring to even up the sides as Davis & Jarrett watch on from the floor. The OVW contingent seems to be getting the better of Global Force, but Jarrett had an ace up his sleeve as the lights went out ...
... make that THE ace, make that the deserving proclaimed 'Greatest of All Time'. It's the NWA World Heavyweight champion AJ Styles!! He levels Bostic, hits Olivencia, but Anthony stops him in his tracks. That is until Conway & Dinsmore jump Anthony. Revolver joins in as they subdue him. Styles positions himself and hits the Pele Kick to put Anthony down. He then grabs Olivencia and lifts him into position, hitting the Styles Clash! Jarrett on the floor grabs a mic.
Jeff Jarrett: "Surprised?! Forget just the 4th member of my team, I'm giving you the whole thing ... right here ... right now! Ladies and gentlemen, the 5th member of my War Games team - the Greatest of All Time, the NWA World Heavyweight champion, the Phenomenal AJ Styles!"
And with that, Team Davis find themselves outnumbered. What will be their response? Who will be their 5th man, if anybody? Remember it's the Saturday Night Special - Marcus Anthony vs Rob Conway, as well as Jamin Olivencia and AJ Styles in the same ring, at the same time to sign the contract for Fall Brawl. For Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey saying so long until next week.
Websclusive match #1
Jeremiah Plunkett defeats Jon Ramser @ 4:52 via pinfall after the Killshot. Plunkett's first match back sees him win with relative ease against the resident underdog. He puts Ram Jam away with the big knockout punch. The commentators make note though that when he faces Chase Owens at Rage In The Cage, he will have to avoid a knockout blow himself - Owens' Roaring Elbow.
Websclusive match #2
Elvis Pridemoore heads out, red cap and all. He says that his scheduled opponent was too scared and didn't show. But fear not, he has a rap for everybody about the upcoming Rage In The Cage event.
Elvis Pridemoore: "It's time once again for the War Games. Without me involved, it's more like the War lame! Jamin Olivencia representing OVW? Please! AJ Styles'll have him down begging on his hands and knees! Everybody knows that when it comes to OVW, Elvis Pridemoore's number 1! Olivencia needs the cage setup because otherwise he'd take off and run! He's-"
And finally enough is enough. Jamin Olivencia heads out! He gets in the ring as Elvis stands guard. He turns his red cap backwards and readies for a fight. Olivencia's first and only offensive move is the Standing O as he drops Elvis on his head. He picks up the red cap and throws it out to the crowd before leaving. After what happened on TV, Olivencia is pissed off, and he will have the chance to stand across AJ Styles at the Saturday Night Special this weekend.
