15 man Battle Royal
Participants: Big Jon, The Body Guy, Eddie Diamond, Bud Dwight, Jeremiah Plunkett, Elvis Pridemoore, Rump Thump, Leon Shelly, Robbie Walker, J Best, Wes Connor, SK Eveslage, Tyler Matrix, Iron Motorhead, The Rook
Order of elimination:
1) The Rook by Big Jon.
2) Iron Motorhead by Robbie Walker.
3) Wes Connor by Big Jon.
4) Tyler Matrix by Big Jon.
5) SK Eveslage by Eddie Diamond.
6) J Best by Leon Shelly.
7) Elvis Pridemoore by Rump Thump.
8) Bud Dwight by Big Jon.
9) Big Jon by The Body Guy. With Big Jon distracted, Body Guy took the opportunity to eliminate his own tag team partner from behind and the biggest threat to win. Needless to say, this did not sit well with Big Jon.
10) Rump Thump by Robbie Walker.
11) Eddie Diamond by Jeremiah Plunkett.
12) Robbie Walker by The Body Guy.
13) The Body Guy by Leon Shelly. With the match down to 3, The Ladies Man of OVW was worked over, but avoided elimination as he ducked a charging Body Guy.
14) Jeremiah Plunkett by Leon Shelly. Shelly then follows up on a singles win over Plunkett on TV with a dropkick to send him out and over, giving The Ladies Man his biggest win to date and a sign that he has arrived at the next level here.
Leon Shelly won a battle royal @ 7:29, last eliminating Jeremiah Plunkett.
Future Talent Showcase match
Trevor Steele & Dave Lo defeat Adam Wylde & Mitch Huff @ 5:48 when Steele pinned Wylde after the tree slam. The 4 semi finalists from the websclusive tournament are in action with the Kurrgan like Steele delivering a strong performance. Wylde & Huff were able to muster up little offense against him in what may as well have been a handicap match with Lo never tagging in. After the match, Steele gave Lo the claw hold and made it clear that he is the current odds on favorite to come out the winner and get him and mentor Jeremiah Plunkett a future Tag Team Title shot at the championship.

Dre Blitz | Shane Williams |
Shane Williams defeats Dre Blitz @ 5:14 via pinfall, following a piledriver as Queen Taylor had the referee distracted. The King of Knoxville continues his undefeated start to his OVW career with another victory here. Blitz got in some offense to the point Williams seemed in trouble towards the end. Queen Taylor though got on the apron to get the referee's attention with Blitz going for a back body drop. Williams stopped short, telegraphing it, and instead lifted Blitz up into the banned piledriver. The King of Knoxville takes another win.

Elijah Burke | Melvin Maximus |
Melvin Maximus defeats Elijah Burke @ 7:53 via referee's decision. Looking to bounce back to the top of OVW, The Pope faced a big challenge from the strongest man in the area, Mr. Marvelous. Burke was entering the match having been previously injured by Maximus in what initially may have played a role in him losing the Heavyweight Title 2 months earlier, and Maximus knew exactly where to put his focus. After working over the ribs much of the match, Maximus locked in the bear hug to finish it but Burke proved stubborn in refusing to quit. He even managed to fight his way free and start building a comeback but the damage was done. Eventually Maximus got Burke back into the bear hug and kept it on until Burke passed out. The referee was left with no alternative but to call for the bell. Maximus gets a big win and Burke may be in serious trouble as the referee, Dr. Asa Andrew, and other staff work to revive him. Burke responds and finally gets up, but needs help getting to the back.
Tag Team championship match under Handicap rules

Champion | Challenger | ||||
TerreMex | The Congregation |
Tag Team champions TerreMex defeat The Congregation to retain the title @ 10:19 when Randy Terrez pinned Jade Dawson after the twisting corkscrew moonsault. The 3 on 2 advantage was nearly enough for The Congregation to regain their title, but it would also prove to be their downfall. The challengers seemingly had the match won, or at least victory in sight, when The Pastor Of Disaster Stuart Miles insisted on the tag to finish the match. Things turned around from there as he was unable to put the match away, eventually leading to Terrez and Dawson as the two legal participants. As Terrez hit his finisher, Mexicutioner prevented Jake Glasure from breaking up the cover. Miles looked on, seemingly upset or disappointed in his men, clearly assigning blame for the loss to his minions and taking on none of the burden himself.

Ryan Howe | Mario Bokara |
Mario Bokara defeats Ryan Howe @ 8:37 via submission to the standing Fujiwara armbar. Howe was looking for revenge on Bokara for what he did to Paredyse several weeks ago, but in the end, The Rockstar fell as have all before him. Howe was in control of the match though, nearly putting Bokara into his similar Whammy Bar submission hold. Trying too hard to lock it in though, Bokara was able to counter and reverse it by rolling through and taking the arm of Howe into his own submission finisher. Howe resisted tapping early but was finally left without any other option. Bokara initially did not break, but would relent. Still undefeated, Bokara exited the ring but was surprised to see Howe standing, looking for more. Bokara headed back to the ring and up the steps, but clearly facing his closest call yet, instead walked back down and shook his head 'no'. Clearly it is more important to keep his mythos up than risk getting back in with Howe.
Women's Title match
VS | ||
Champion Mary Elizabeth Monroe | Challenger Rebel |
Rebel defeats Women's champion Mary Elizabeth Monroe @ 6:47 via countout, Monroe retains the title. The challenger gave the champion a fight in this match. Rebel was looking for the split legged legdrop, but Monroe instead rolled out of the ring. Rebel followed, but the ensuing battle saw Rebel go knee first into the steps. Monroe had compassion and helped her up, rolling her into the ring, not realizing that she rolled Rebel in before the referee's 10 count and taking a 10 herself for the loss. This upset Monroe as she got back in, teasing maybe a heel turn or something as Rebel lay on the mat. Monroe however would extend a hand and help her up, raising Rebel's arm in a show of sportsmanship. With the countout victory though, another title shot is likely lined up for Rebel.
TV Title match
VS | ||
Champion Dylan Bostic | Challenger Adam Revolver |
Adam Revolver defeats TV champion Dylan Bostic @ 13:25 via pinfall after a side Russian legsweep to win the title. The back and forth rivalry between these two continues in Revolver's rematch from Bostic's title win on TV 3.5 weeks back. Not being able to defeat Bostic himself, Revolver altered his game plan here by bringing in outside help. During the match, Bostic seemingly had the upperhand when Revolver got outside the ring and led the champ after him. Revolver would cowardly pull Ray Lynn in front of him, shoving her into Bostic who would have to catch her. Back inside the ring, the referee questioned the move, all the while Melvin Maximus emerged from the back and hit Bostic from behind. Maximus drove Bostic into the ringpost before throwing him back in for Revolver to finish him off. Ray Lynn tried alerting the referee, but it was of no use. Revolver regains the title and it would seem now has an added insurance policy.
The Danger Zone
Timmy Danger | Danny Davis | Rudy Switchblade |
Timmy Danger: "Alright everybody, welcome to another edition of The Danger Zone. You could even call this a special edition of The Danger Zone because we are here right now at the Saturday Night Special! Now my guest tonight, or guests rather, are here to get things straight. It was Rage In The Cage, the King of The Valley ladder match where Rudy Switchblade stole the briefcase with the contract in it for a guaranteed title shot whenever he wants. He had no business in the match according to this man, the only man whose opinion around here matters, ladies and gentlemen, Danny Davis!"
And with that, The Nightmare heads out to a negative reaction from the crowd. While a long time favorite, in recent weeks Davis has went on a power trip, conducting business by doing what's best for himself, any means necessary.
Timmy Danger: "Mr. Davis, a pleasure as always."
Danny Davis: "Thank you Timmy. I have to say first of all, I don't appreciate that reaction I got from these fans out here. You people need to realize something. The decisions I make are in the best interest of Ohio Valley, and thus in your best interest as well. When I bring Brock Lesnar in at War Games, it was to make sure that Jeff Jarrett's team didn't win. To make sure that OVW didn't become Global Force Wrestling. I did that ... for all of you. Jamin Olivencia and his World Title aspirations were a disposable cause in my eyes to what was needed. OVW is more important than any 1 man and maybe if he had seen that, he wouldn't be sitting at home with a broken neck, career over."
Timmy Danger: "The big question tonight though is what about Rudy Switchblade? You've demanded he show up tonight and return the King of The Valley briefcase."
Danny Davis: "And again, I know it might be perceived as an unpopular decision, but here's the deal as I see it. Do you remember Timmy what happened a year ago? A masked vigilante running around, helping The Blacklist, trying to put an end to what I had built. And we found out when he unmasked that it was ... that's right, Rudy Switchblade. He was the architect of it all! And now, just because he's out of The Blacklist, I'm supposed to think he's a changed man? No. This is a bigger threat than even Jarrett was! I can't let Rudy Switchblade walk out here and become the OVW champion because he's not what I expect out of an OVW champion. I don't trust him and I don't believe that he cares for anything or anybody, only himself!"
Timmy Danger: "Alright, and with that, let's bring him out. The man that has the King of The Valley, the man that stole it! Rudy Switchblade!"
Fans cheer as Switchblade heads out from the back, carrying the case. This is the first appearance of Switchblade since winning it a month ago, and it might be the last.
Timmy Danger: "Let's just get this over with. Rudy, hand it over."
Switchblade looks at Danger, causing him to take a step back. Davis however is not in as much fear.
Danny Davis: "Ok, I get it. The big shot is here! Rudy Switchblade everybody! What are you, some kind of outlaw now? You a man unto himself? I got a newsflash for you, I don't care! I just want you to hand that briefcase over. You didn't qualify for a spot in that ladder match, you had no business in it. Come on. Give me the case Rudy."
Switchblade looks at the case, but stands firm as he just looks back at Davis.
Danny Davis: "Let me rephrase that Rudy. I'm not ask, I'm demanding it! Give me that case!"
Switchblade again looks at it, but before anything else can happen, Rudo Raul Lamotta heads out. It was Lamotta who had qualified for the match, only to be mysteriously attacked backstage, and replaced at the last minute by Director of Authority Jim Cornette with Switchblade.
Timmy Danger: "Pleasant surprise everybody. Rudo Raul Lamotta, as far as I'm concerned, the real King of The Valley!"
Raul Lamotta: "Thank you Timmy, thank you. Rudy, me and you have been fighting here for years now. I know how hard you've worked to get where you are ... and I know how hard I've worked to get to where I am! I qualified for that match, I deserved to be in it, that briefcase should be mine! I would have won the match and I want what's mine!"
Danny Davis: "Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Before anything is decided on who would have what, the heart of the matter right now is that Rudy Switchblade is not King of The Valley! That is not yours, give it back!"
Switchblade looks at the case again when Lamotta grabs it away! Lamotta gets cocky and holds it up over his head. Fans boo this, clearly not agreeing with the idea. Neither does Switchblade though as when Lamotta turns around and lowers it, Switchblade jumps and connects with a RudyKO that ends up driving Lamotta face first into the case! Davis quickly exits the ring, as does Danger. Switchblade again grabs the case and walks over to the ropes to tease giving it back, but instead lifts it up to a pop. Switchblade clearly has no intention of giving it back and now the question becomes will he cash it in tonight?!

Mike Hayes | Ali Vaez |
Mike Hayes defeats Ali Vaez @ 12:54 via tap out to The Liberty Lock. A big grudge match carries the semi main event slot here. The always lurking threat of Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker interfering never came to pass as Vaez seemed to feel he had the match in hand. After the almost obligatory removal of prosthetic leg spot, Vaez controlled Hayes and nearly had the match won after a swinging neckbreaker. Hayes however refused to give up and would get the leg back, followed by a comeback. Vaez would catch him with a foot to the face though and then go for the Cobra Clutch. Hayes however reversed the hold and managed to get Vaez down onto the mat in The Liberty Lock, a seated reverse cobra clutch. Vaez reached for the ropes but was left with little choice but to tap out. Post match sees Hayes take the American flag and wave it around the ring to a big pop from the fans.
Heavyweight Title match
VS | ||
Challenger Marcus Anthony | Champion Cliff Compton |
Before the match, Colt Cabana arrives in the crowd and takes a front row seat. Needless to say, this does not sit well with champion Cliff Compton, feeling that Cabana has no business at ringside.
Marcus Anthony and Heavyweight champion Cliff Compton fought to a no contest @ 10:35 due to outside interference. Compton entered the match with a non title defeat to Anthony in a tag team match on the most recent edition of Ohio Valley TV, and was seemingly against the odds to retain. Anthony would control much of the match and appeared to be on the verge of defeating Compton. The Gamma Punch would nearly connect on Compton, but as he hit from the suplex, he managed to get out of the way of the punch follow through. Anthony kept going though and would eventually lock in the Crimson Omen full nelson. Compton was in a dangerous spot here and just when it seemed all was lost for him ...
Rob Conway & Nick Dinsmore emerged, entering the ring and jumping Anthony. The commentators speculate this as payback and doing the dirty work of Danny Davis after Anthony made the statement that he needed nobody's help. The Lords of The Ring would send Anthony to the ropes, only for him to stand firm and instead send them in, bouncing back to a double clothesline of his own. Conway & Dinsmore leave with Anthony in chase.
Meanwhile, Compton gets handed the OVW Title. A less than overwhelming retention of the championship. He exits and ends up crossing paths with Cabana sitting ringside. Compton holds it up to Cabana's face and tells him that this is as close as he'll come to it, just like Cabana's "friend" Matt Classic, who he beat at Rage In The Cage. Cabana sucks it up and just nods but Compton takes it a step further and pushes the belt against Cabana's face. Cabana pushes the belt away, Compton shoves him, Cabana jumps the rail and it's on! The 2 are brawling on the floor with referees and officials keeping them apart. Clearly a feud that is far from finished, maybe only starting.
