One of my favorite events every year. I'm looking forward to this!

The show opens with a shot of outside, where Chase Owens and Steve Corino make their way towards the arena. Security stop Corino short of the door reminding him that he is banned from attending tonights event. Corino makes a few tries to get into the building but in the end he’s chucked out by the guards.

We switch focus to what’s going on inside the Hammerstein ballroom where Triple H stands in the middle of the ring with a mic in hand. He summons Miz to the ring letting him know that he’s not very pleased with Miz airing footage from the backstage area. What happens in the back is none of Miz’s business. Miz tries to argue that the fans need to know the truth about how things are ran around here, but Triple H is having none of it. Triple H decides to make an example of Miz by bringing out “The Beast” Brock Lesnar!


Singles Match
The Miz vs. Brock Lesnar

This was all about survival for Miz, who’s really changed himself lately for the better here in Main Event. He tried to go at the former champion but Lesnar would whip him around the ring like a rag doll, punishing him for even being in the same ring with “The Beast”. Miz would catch Lesnar off guard by baseball sliding between his legs, planting Lesnar with a DDT as soon as he turned around, off balance from the unorthodox move. Miz tried to come off the top rope with a cross body but would be caught midair by Lesnar who would immediately transition the catch into an F5! Miz put up a hell of a fight but he wasn’t able to kick out from the F5.


Tag Team Table Match
The Young Bucks w/ Adam Cole vs. The Dudleys

On the opening night of NWA Main Event, The Dudleys put away the Bucks after an extremely competitive match. The Bucks have lived with the fact that they lost their first match on the big stage for months and now it’s time for them to get the redemption that they crave. The Young Bucks are brash and arrogant, knowing that if they can’t say they’ve beaten a team like the Dudleys then they can’t be in the discussion about being one of the greatest tag teams of all time. The match structure went out the window quickly as both teams brawled in the middle of the ring, complete anarchy that the ref wasn’t able to wrangle. Adam Cole was a constant thorn in the side of the The Dudleys until enough was enough. Cole would pick the leg of D-Von, resulting in D-Von sliding to the outside laying some heavy hands on Cole. This was bad news for his brother however as it gave the Bucks a chance to double team the former stuttering Dudley boy. The Bucks would score big with a double superkick on Bubba with Nick diving to the outside onto D-Von! Matt would bring a table into the ring, setting it up to finish the match but Bubba would fight back hitting a bionic elbow on Matt before chucking him out of the ring into Cole and Nick Jackson! Bubba would pick up the table tossing it onto the Trifecta! The Dudleys looked to be mounting a comeback as D-Von slid back into the ring where his brother Bubba implored him to the crowds excitement to “GET THE TABLE!” The Dudleys would set up the table in the middle of the ring before pulling the Bucks back into the ring. The 3D was attempted on Nick Jackson but Adam Cole would pull him out of the ring to safety! The Dudleys were hot, trying to get to Nick and Adam but Matt would come from behind with a chair blasting both Dudleys in the back! The Young Bucks would pick apart the Dudleys with the help of Adam Cole before picking up and driving D-Von through a table with a triple powerbomb for the victory!


The show cuts to the front doors of the arena where Mr.Wrestling 3 comes to the front gate, only to get stopped by security. They’re frustrated with Corino trying to sneak his way in and literally toss him out! The camera pans over to Corino who’s been out of site talking to someone about an idea to wear the Mr.Wrestling 3 mask to sneak in. Once he sees the masked fan that got bounced he changes his mind as he tries to figure out how to get into the show.


NWA World Heavyweight Title Tournament Match
Samoa Joe vs. Roman Reigns

This is the second round of the tournament to find the new World Heavyweight Champion. It was like watching two bulls lock horns in the opening moments of the contest, both men are heavy hitters so it was incredible to watch them lock up in the ring trying to out muscle the other. The experience of Joe got him the upper hand in the tie up but Roman would just punch Joe right in the mouth! The two men would start swinging wildly at one another with the audible sound of fists on flesh. Reigns would try early for a superman punch but Joe would side step dragging Roman down into an arm bar in the middle of the ring. The leader of the Roman Empire would drag himself to the ropes for the break. This was a clash of titans as they locked up again in the middle of the ring jocking for position yet again. Roman would get the advantage this time planting Joe with a german suplex before mounting him, raining down heavy hands trying to force the ref to call the match but Joe is a submission master countering with a triangle choke that had Reigns fighting for air. It was a tremendous show of strength but Reigns would dead lift Joe driving him into the mat with a powerbomb! Reigns would let out a battle cry as blood trickled down from his mouth. Samoa Joe would get caught with a superman punch as the crowd counted along, but Joe would get his shoulder off the mat at the last second! The match continued with Joe building up momentum hitting Reigns with a series of suplexes that sent Reigns crawling into the corner only to have Joe drive his boot into his face over and over and over! Joe could literally smell blood as he looked to close the match up. Reigns would try for a spear but didn’t have quite enough in the tank as Joe countered it with a front face lock, wrapping his legs around Reigns. The powerhouse Reigns refused to submit but the ref had to call it due to pass out. Samoa Joe would advance to the next round of the tournament!


NWA World Womens Title Match
Awesome Kong vs. Paige(c)

Awesome Kong has been on a hot streak, but Paige looked to be one of the few people that have stepped into the ring with Kong who looks unrattled as this match got underway. Kong would use her immense strength to shove of Paige every time they locked up, forcing Paige to use her speed and cunning to keep herself in this match, as trying to match power with Kong would spell the end for the champ. Paige would bounce between the ropes ducking and sliding under wild swings by Kong, before flying back in with quick kicks and strikes to the legs of the beastly Kong! This went on with Paige looking like she found the formula to winning only to have Kong grab the champion by the throat slamming her violently to the mat. It was time for Kong to ply her punishing style to the Womens champion! Awesome Kong would woman handle the champion blasting her with heavy strikes, and nearly ripping her in two with basic but very painful submission holds. Paige looked to be in a bad way but she has the heart of a champion, regrouping on the outside for just a moment. Kong would give chase only to have the cunning Paige drive Kong shoulder first into the ring post! Kong was heated as she shook out the pain in her arm, giving chase to Paige again. This time the champion would hit a drop toe hold on Kong sending her face first into the steel ring steps! Paige would get back into the ring hoping that the ref would administer the count out before Kong could regain her bearings but it was no such luck as the match continued. Paige would throw everything she could at Kong stunning the challenger before planting her with a double arm DDT. Even Paige herself was stunned when Kong couldn’t kick out before three!


After the match it was a tense few moments but eventually Kong and Paige would shake hands after a great match up.


North American Title Match
Alberto del Rio vs. John Cena(c)

Rio was able to beat Sheamus on the last show for a chance at Cena and the North American Title! Cena is all about big fight atmosphere and X is one of the biggest events that NWA Main Event will host year round. Alberto is a former World champion and felt that this match was almost beneath him as he would only use this title as a stepping stone back towards bigger glory. ADR would immediately go for the arm of Cena trying to wear him down for the cross armbreaker, but Cena would shake him off over and over bringing the fight to the challenger! Cena would batter Rio with enough clotheslines to send him slithering out of the ring, allowing Cena to showboat in the middle of the ring to the fans! ADR would slip back into the ring and duck a tie up from Cena using his speed to kick out of the legs of Cena, bringing him to his knees where Rio would snap off a superkick that got him a long two count. Cena wouldn’t be contained as he kept coming back, it was frustrating to Alberto who felt that this match should be beneath him, that the world title picture his more of his speed, but tonight Cena was showing his opponent and the world why he’s a champion of the NWA! Cena would catch ADR with a blue thunder bomb before pumping up his high tops looking for a little five knuckle shuffle action but Rio would roll out of the way forcing Cena to punch the mat! Cena would shake it off but it gave ADR the opening he needed as he dumped Cena with a half nelson suplex! ADR would try to undo the turnpost padding trying to inflict some punishment on the champ, but Cena would come back strong whipping ADR into the exposed steel instead! ADR would walk out of the corner and into the AA giving Cena another decisive win!


Ultimate X Match
Adrian Neville vs. Finn Balor vs. Rey Horus vs. Sin Cara vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Chase Owens(c)

Chase Owens didn’t have his manager in his corner for this huge match up, but he didn’t look too concerned as he looked up towards his championship belt hanging over the ring at the center of the X! When the match got underway Neville immediately went after the champ as everyone else fought and clawed to get to the championship! Neville would clothesline Owens out of the ring only to turn around and see Sin Cara shimming across the ropes towards the belt, so Neville would grab him by the legs powerbombing him down to the mat violently! Rey Horus was trying to take on Balor and Gargano in the corner until Neville joined in as all four men fought in the corner. Sin Cara would eventually get up walking the ropes before diving into the pile with a front flip! Owens would drag out Neville as the two rivals would fight on the outside! It was complete anarchy as Balor would dive to the outside onto Owens and Neville leveling both men! The craziness continued as Rey Horus and Sin Cara suicide dived in stereo onto the opponents on the outside! This left Gargano in the ring by himself, he could have started making the climb to the championship, but that’s not in his nature as he climbed to the top rope throwing himself to the outside onto everyone! The fight on the floor spilled into the crowd at a few points letting the crowd get up close and personal with the talent. When the match actually made it’s way back into the ring all six men tried to fight their way onto the X! Balor and Neville would kick at each other trying to get the other to fall so they could get to the title. Balor would damn himself and Neville by bringing them both down to the canvas in heaps! Chase Owens would unleash hell with discus elbows for anyone that would get in the way! Owens would start to make his way towards the center of the X, only to be brought down with a missle dropkick from Gargano! The crowd went a bit crazy as AJ Styles started to walk his way to the ring! He poised himself on the outside watching the action unfold in the ring in front of him. The match hit the point where it was a finisher party, leaving everyone in the ring down on the mat except Neville who would look up at the title with awe, only to have Styles come flying from off screen with a springboard forearm! Styles would take the fight to everyone in the ring sending them tumbling out of the ring one by one leaving Chase Owens in the ring alone! Styles would help Owens up ushering him onto the X as he helped fight off all the weakened opponents who made attempts at stopping this from happening. In the end, with the help of AJ Styles, Chase Owens continues to be your NWA WORLD JUNIOR WEIGHT CHAMPION!

The Main Event was awesome . Having A.J. help Owens to win this match was good. I thought Joe V Reigns was good battle. Joe is the guy to beat in this tournament . Kong gave Paige all she can handle. All in good show
