NWA Main Event 12/28/15 Showcase

It’s a cold open with play by play announcer Dustin Smith letting the fans know about an incident that happened just prior to the show.
A shakey handy cam rushes up on the scene in the parking area as Adam Cole is warning the Dudleys that just inside the backstage area the Young Bucks were laying in wait for an ambush. D-Von and Bubba try to push passed Cole who stands firm providing the distraction as the Young Bucks burst out of hiding BEHIND the Dudleys for a 3 on 2 beat down! The Dudleys try to fight back, but they aren’t able to combat the numbers as security and staff rush onto the scene to break up the street fight! The Dudleys are blooded and pissed off as the show officially opens.
SINGLES MATCH
Adrian Neville vs. Austin Aries
NWA Main Event: X is about a month away from now and these two men were looking to gain some momentum. Neville is still extremely agitated about his rematch loss against the current World Junior champion and looked to take his frustration out on Aries. This match could be a main event anywhere in the world and it served as an explosive opening contest. It was a back and forth match up with Neville eventually picking up steam hitting Aries with a spinning back kick to the gut. Once them match looked to be in the control of Neville, Chase Owens would make his way out to cause the distraction allowing Aries to roll up Neville for a three count.
SINGLES MATCH
Bayley vs. Amazing Kong
Bayley would come into this one with a lot of heart, but you could see her heart sink as the music of Amazing Kong started to play over the PA system. Bayley would try to bring the fight to Kong but would be shrugged off time and time again. You could tell that Kong was starting to develop a bit of respect for her opponent. The match didn’t last very long as Kong dropped Bayley with a spinning back fist before capping off the match with a double underhook face buster.
NON-TITLE MATCH
John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler
This was a great match up with Ziggler playing the heel of the match making the North American champions life hell. Ziggler is a student of the game using every dirty trick to keep control of the match as a win tonight would be sure to put him in title contention. Cena would keep fighting every chance he could get with that next level resolve that he brings to every match. When Cena started to get rolling it was all over capping off the match with a FU!
SINGLES MATCH
The Miz vs. Alberto del Rio
Alberto del Rio would have a great match that showcased his talent, and since coming to NWA Main Event Miz can’t get any traction. ADR would lock Miz in an armbar forcing the submission as Miz sat in the ring frustrated and upset with himself.
The Dudleys would come rolling down the ramp they signed themselves up for a 3 on 2 handicap match due to the attack prior to the show but the Bucks and Cole started the fight early. The fight would eventually make it too the ring but it wasn’t looking good for the Dudleys. Miz would finally perk up and started to help the Dudleys!
SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
Adam Cole & The Young Bucks vs. The Dudleys & Miz
The Dudleys were pretty banged up but Miz would help carry in this match. They would start rolling and Miz would contribute to a victory for the Dudleys! Cole and the Bucks seemed to be far from done with this feud but on this night they needed to regroup. Miz looks pretty pleased with himself that he finally picked up a W.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Brock Lesnar & Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles & Sheamus
This match had a lot of intensity as each team held a very uneasy alliance. The ref had a hard time trying to keep this match under control and eventually had to throw the match out as all four men would go to war in the middle of the ring! Sheamus and Lesnar would pair off as Samoa Joe and Styles would fight on the other side of the ring as the show eventually faded out as security and staff came to the ring to break up the battle.
