Last years 2015 winner was Adrian Neville and he went on to the big-time and won the NWA World Jr Heavyweight Championship. So the winner of this tournament can expect to see his star start to rise! It is also announced by commentator Mike Adamle, that tonight's main-event is a big one. As Champion Adam Cole put's his belt on the line against the Uhaa Nation. 1. ZG Cup 1st Round MatchAndrew Everett def. CJ Parker with a double rotation moonsault in 5:40. *Commercials* 2. ZG Cup 1st Round MatchSugar Dunkerton def. Tomasso Ciampa with the monster jam in 7:21 * Jimmy D interviews Chicago legend Colt Cabana backstage. Cabana says he's here tonight to support some friends and watch the new ZG Cup winner.* 3. ZG Cup 1st Round MatchACH returned to the competition after a deep run last year to def. Marion Fontaine with a frog splash in 6:20. *Commercials* 4. ZG Cup 1st Round MatchTrevor Lee def. Louis Lyndon in 4:31 thanks to an interference from Cyber TV Champion Luke Harper who gave Lyndon a discus-lariat out of the sight of the referee for reasons unknown. This led to Harper giving Lyndon a beatdown, until Chicago legend Colt Cabana ran down for the save. *Commercials* 5. Main-Event: Chicago Heavyweight Championship[/b][/u] Adam Cole [c] def. Uhaa Nation with the Corona Crash in 12:18 in a great TV style match. *Commercials* *NWA North American Champion John Cena then makes an appearance alongside Bad News Barrett. Together, as the Cenation, they are the Windy City Tag Team Champions. Cena announces that he's preparing for his NA title defence against AJ Styles so we won't get to see him in singles action, but he will be defending the tag team titles on next Monday's Chicago Power Hour as The Cenation will defend against local stars OI4K, also known as The Irish Airborn. The show closes with a shot of Adam Cole backstage, not looking happy that John Cena gets to close the show with just an announcement when he's just defended his title against Uhaa Nation in a great match!

I like the stripped down show here, as it was quality for what it was. I like the winners, and the use of Cabana, Cole, and Cena. I'm pleasantly surprised to see Dunkerton go over.

Yeah, some good stuff here. I like that you still are trying to establish some new talent here, or more unestablished anyway. Makes for a more exciting read with an original feel, even if condensed. Having Neville be the last winner of the Zero Gravity Cup certainly raises the stakes for the winner of this. Andrew Everett, Sugar Dunkerton, and Trevor Lee being 3 of the 4 to advance is refreshing. 1 name stands out as having the potential to really benefit from winning it all in my opinion, interested to see how he does.
Nice tease in the post match with Cole jealous of Cena, definitely a big match based on the history here. The Cenation stuff feels a bit stale though to be honest with the direction of everything else so here's hoping they drop the belts to OI4K, maybe interference from Cole or something.
Gotta say though, 1 seemingly innocent line is just suicide for actually watching the show vs reading it here lol ... "Mike Adamle (Commentator)" ... don't know why on earth you'd go there. Literally among the worst options possible.
Good show though, felt more like a throwback to earlier Windy City than some of the more recent stuff.

Thanks for the comments. I'm not being steadfast on my staff or wrestlers. As an independent wrestling promotion I will have no contracts, no roster. I will try to book certain talent, if they are free that's great, if not that's cool too as that happens irl and I'll book round it. So feel free to stiff me on booking requests if it doesn't suit you lol. I'm being serious on that. My staff are not written in stone and can change too. I know he's famous for making mistakes, but Adamle was given a tryout booking here, as he's currently a sports anchor and reporter at WMAQ-TV in Chicago. Looks like he hasn't got over, so might not be used again Maybe I should have written in a mistake, that would have been neat. Your on the right lines with your thoughts on how things might go down JP btw. I'm going to use simplified booking concepts. I sometimes got out of line with Windy City when still a part of the NWA. Now they are alone, on a smaller budget, so things must be simpler too including the booking.

If looking local to hypothetically keep costs down, I'm pretty sure Dave Prazak is based out of Chicago. Not amazing by any means but at least he can competently call a wrestling match alongside St. Holmes.

Dunkerton was by far the surprise of the night and I'm happy to see the return of the Zero Gravity Tournament. Looks like I'll have a rooting interest in the tournament from here on out with the signings of Andrew Everett & Trevor Lee by NWA Championship Wrestling. Uhaa Nation (Apollo Crews) has also signed on the dotted line in Ohio so perhaps he could continue to work in Windy City as well. I also plan on capitalizing on the talents of OI4K, Lyndon & Fontaine locally so I hope we can find ways to work together that can prove mutually beneficial. Message me on here or on Twitter if you have any ideas.

And Dave Prazak is the owner of Premier Wrestling Entertainment, so I'm not sure how that affects JP's suggestion.

Yeah, I guess that defeats the point of local if he's now based in Las Vegas.
