"The Canadian Goddess" Candice LeRae defeated "The Gem City Queen" Nevaeh with an Octopus Stretch in 14:29. This was a hard fought match, filled with several near falls and definitely set a tone for the remainder of the event. After submitting, Nevaeh was helped to her feet by LeRae and both women shook hands to another applause from the crowd.
"EC3" Ethan Carter III defeated Josh Prohibition with a German suplex into the bottom turnbuckle in 9:24. The was more of a one-sided affair, with Prohibition scoring with some of his offense, but not enough to give the impression that Carter was ever in real danger. Carter would hit a splash in the corner, allowing Prohibition to stumble toward the center of the ring before driving him neck first into the bottom turnbuckle. Carter would allow the referee to raise his hand before quickly jerking away and dragging Prohibition to his feet in order to drive his head into the mat with the One Percenter.
Raymond "Death" Rowe defeated "No Mercy" Tommy Mercer with a Saito suplex in 12:40. This was a brutal match between two guys known for their power offense, lending itself to several near falls near the end of the match as the damage began to culminate. Mercer barely survived an Exploder suplex as rolled his shoulder just before the three count and later showed the affects as he struggled to crawl over for a pin attempt after connecting with a spear. Rowe would eventually connect with the Saito suplex to score the tough win and the two Cleveland natives acknowledged their respect for one another following the match.
"The Callihan Death Machine" Sami Callihan defeated Matt "Iron" Cross with a sitout powerbomb in 21:21. This was another competitive match as the Ohio natives had crossed paths several times in the past decade and the familiarity lent itself to a multitude of reversals and counters throughout the first half of the match. Callihan would gain an advantage and maintain control by refusing to break holds until the count of five, but never crossed the line far enough to invoke the wrath of the crowd. Cross would battle back near the end, forcing Callihan to retreat under the bottom rope and allowing Cross to connect with the Space Flying M-Dogg Drop to the delight of the fans on that side of the ring. Cross would struggle to get Callihan rolled back into the ring and eventually had to settle for a near fall when Callihan laid his boot across the bottom rope. Cross would score another near fall with a fireman's carry neckbreaker before Callihan was able to avoid a springboard dropkick and conect with a bicycle kick, setting up a sitout powerbomb to end the match.
"The Knockout Artist" Chris Hero defeated "The Machine Gun" Karl Anderson by disqualification due to interference by Ethan Carter III in 18:16. Hero and Anderson threw some of the stiffest strikes of the night and definitely used the tools they had honed while two of the top gaijins in Japan over the last few years. Hero would begin to control the match following a series of reversals by both men that ended with the Mafia Kick. Hero would score near falls with the Crash Landing and the Cravate Buster but missed the Rolling Elbow and ate a superkick for his mistake. Anderson would maintain control long enough to get a two count following a neckbreaker but Hero would battle back with more stiff strikes before catching Anderson with the Hangman's Clutch Facebuster, forcing Anderson to roll his shoulder at the last moment. As Hero began to get back to his feet, Ethan Carter III slid under the bottom rope and drove him back to the canvas with a lariat from behind.
The referee immediately called for the bell and began admonishing Carter as he began stomping the hell out of Hero. As more officials began making their way into the ring to separate Carter and Hero, Anderson blindsided Carter with a right hand from behind. Anderson and Carter began throwing haymakers, though nothing of consequence landed, while officials struggled to get in between the two men. Eventually Carter was forced back into a corner by the officials as he and Andeson continued to yell at each other from a distance. Carter would retreat under the bottom rope and be escorted back down the entrance way as he continued to yell profanities towards the ring, allowing officials to begin tending to Hero as he struggled to pull himself to his feet. Hero, now flanked by two officials, stumbled towards the center of the ring where he was knocked to the canvas once more by an Anderson right hand. Officials now swarmed Anderson once more, forcing him to leave the ring as well, finally ending the chaos that had sidetracked a very strong match.
"The Whole Shebang" Johnny Gargano defeated "The Apex of Agility" Andrew Everett with the Garga-No-Escape in 28:11. The match proved to be more than worthy of the main event as Everett showed the innovative offense and blatant disregard for his own safety that propelled him to the finals of the NWA Windy City Zero Gravity Tournament just 3 weeks ago, while Gargano displayed his tremendous ability and trademark perseverance that once led him to the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship. Gargano would take control of the match from the outset with Everett showing the flashes of brilliance that he has become synonymous with. Gargano, spurred by tremendous crowd support throuhout the majority of the match, would score several near falls before missing a suicide dive that would give an exhausted Everett an invaluable opportunity. Everett would struggle to get Gargano back into the ring but then looked to capitalize quickly as he climed to the top turnbuckle for an expected moonsault. Gargano would thwart those plans though as he stumbled into the ropes as he got to his feet, leaving Everett unceremoniously perched on the turnbuckle. Gargano would bring Everett back into the ring with a double knee backbreaker that resulted in the closest near fall of the match thus far. Gargano would begin to focus his attention on the left shoulder of Everett as the match progressed but eventually found himself with a bad shoulder after Everett slid off his shoulders as Gargano attempted the Lawn Dart. Everett would quickly hit an amazing double jump cross body as Gargano stumbled from the corner, nearly scoring a three count and gaining some unlikely support from the heavily pro-Gargano crowd as audible groans emanated from the fans as Gargano rolled his shoulder just before the count of three. Everett would look to finish the match with quick strikes and high impact offense, but huge rewards usually involve huge risks and Everett found out the hard way as Gargano rolled towards the corner to avoid a missile dropkick. Everett would shake the cobwebs loose and begin to get to his feet when he was driven back to the mat with a Baby Ace Crusher. Gargano quickly rolled Everett to his back and hooked his leg for the pin but once more Everett pulled his shoulder from the canvas at the last possible moment, seemingly gaining more support with his ever-present resilience. Gargano reacted quickly though, grabbing Everett's extended left arm and immediately transitioning into the Garga-No-Escape, forcing Everett to begin slapping the mat almost instantly for the tough victory.
