Airing LIVE on FX!
Los Angeles, CA
The show opens with Josh Mathews shuffling his paper work and introducing the show as CM Punk kind of leans back in his chair, looking lax as ever. They go through a few talking points, before we cut to the back.
Backstage, we see Seth Rollins in his leather get up getting ready for action tonight. The Ring of Fire General Manager Chris Jericho approaches him, wearing casual wear and a smirk on his face. Rollins asks Jericho what he wants, and Jericho just kind of shrugs, saying he just wanted to make sure Rollins was ready to take on "The Demon" Finn Balor tonight. Rollins laughs, asking if Jericho is joking! Rollins says what is a "Demon" next to a "GOD" in that ring! Jericho says he's seen a lot bigger men, a lot better men, think the same way as Rollins, and eventually, they all get humbled. Rollins says he beat Sami Zayn last week, and tonight is going to be a piece of cake. He says Jericho better get used to Seth Rollins being the face of the company, because coming February 21st, he's going to be well on his way to becoming Interim World Heavyweight champion! And then, when that coward, that weakling Kevin Steen comes back, he's going to become the UNDISPUTED Champion of the World! Jericho kind of nods, before noting that it all depends on whether or not he can beat Sami Zayn again. Jericho says Triple H and JBL might think a lot of Rollins, but Jericho says he knows a real coward when he sees one. Jericho then looks Rollins right in the eye, uncomfortably so and long, before turning walking away. Rollins tries to brush it off, but it's clear Jericho has gotten under his skin with his comments.
Air Boom (Kofi Kingston & Matt Sydal) defeat Matt Taven & Michael Bennett after Sydal hits the Shooting Star Press on Matt Taven. Bennett and Taven are former World Tag Team champions with a lot of attitude, but they just couldn't stop the speed and energy of Air Boom tonight. Taven would attempt a Frog Splash on Kofi, only to catch knees on the way down. Sydal was in the right spot afterwards to come off the top with the SSP to crush Taven while he was already hurting. Kofi would block Bennett from making the save as Sydal got the three!

As we return from commercial, we are taken offsite to Kevin Steen's home, where he can be seen standing with crutches, wearing his World Heavyweight championship. Steen says he's been watching, he's been hearing everything that's being said, he knows there's a lot of buzz around this big tournament coming up. He says it's too bad that tournament is nothing but a fake place holder title, and while the real champion is standing right here in Quebec! Steen says it doesn't matter though, because on February 21st, the Champ won't be in Quebec, and the champ sure as Hell won't be wrestling that ring. No, the champion, THE TRUE CHAMPION, KEVIN STEEN... is going to be sitting at the announcer's table in the Hammerstein Ballroom, calling the action, watching a bunch of wanna-be's fight over nothing but the chance to get beat up by Kevin Steen once he returns to action in the not so distant future. Steen says make no mistake about it, he will come back, and he will wreak havoc on the National Wrestling Alliance and get his vengeance and show everyone why he is the best and deserves to wear the title, the REAL World Heavyweight championship!
We then head back to the announcer's table, where Mathews and Punk discuss what happened there. Punk says he can relate to how Steen feels, and says he's really not wrong in what he's saying. We're going to see a great tournament, but it's not going to matter until the winner of it takes on the real champion, Steen. Mathews says Seth Rollins seems to think that's going to be him, and Punk says he'd love to see Steen drop Rollins on his multi-colored mop again.
Asuka defeats Peyton Royce and Becky Lynch after catching Royce with a Spin Kick to knock her out for the three. This was a fun, short triple threat match that saw a lot of hard hitting spots and near falls. Lynch would look to have Asuka in a bad position, applying a hanging Triangle Armbar over the ropes, hanging out towards the floor. Peyton would run on the apron as the hold was applied and deliver a devastating Dropkick to Lynch's head, sending her flying to the floor. Asuka would stumble on the inside as Peyton headed up top. Peyton would dive off the top rope, only to get caught in mid-air with a Spin Kick from Asuka! Asuka would make the cover and get the three as the fans cheered her on!

Cesaro defeated Aiden O'Shea in a tough fight after hitting the Very European Uppercut. These two would have a very tough and physical brawl, taking things around ringside and getting up close and personal with the fans. O'Shea is a big and imposing guy, and he showed a lot of skill and fight in battling Cesaro. Cesaro would show his strength, however, avoiding the Boomstick from O'Shea and catching him coming back with a super impressive Very European Uppercut to knock O'Shea out for the three count.
Backstage we see Sasha Banks talking to Ricochet, letting him know she's the legit boss of professional wrestling, and he'd better have her back and be ready for the spotlight! Ricochet says she can have the spotlight, cause he's taking all of the highlights! That leads Alicia Fox and Jay Lethal to roll up, laughing and shaking their heads. Fox says Banks had better learn her place, and that's at Alicia Fox's feet, begging for mercy for what she did last week! Banks says Fox is going to be the one begging when she locks her in the Bank Statement again! Lethal holds Fox back from attacking Banks, telling her to save for when they are getting paid. Lethal says Ricochet can keep the highlights, and Banks can keep the spotlight, because at the end of the night, Lethal and Fox will be satisfied leaving with the winner's purse, jabronies!

Jay Lethal & Alicia Fox defeat Ricochet & Sasha Banks after Lethal catches Ricochet with a Top-Rope Cutter to get the pinfall. Fox and Banks obviously have bad blood, and they ripped into each other viciously tonight. While brash, Ricochet proved to be likable here and always gets the fans going with his hard hitting, (very) high flying style. However, Jay Lethal was perhaps the cornerstone of this match, taking some big bumps, working the crowd like a champ, and really selling everything going on to make the fans sympathetic to the Ricochet and Banks. Ricochet would head up top near the end and looked to hit a high risk maneuver on Lethal, only to have Fox grab onto his leg and stop him. Ricochet would try to shake her off, but is was Banks who ultimately grab her leg and sent her face first into the mat in a bad way! Ricochet was very wobbled, though, and with time to recover, Jay Lethal would manage to scale the buckles and catch Ricochet with a Cutter off the top, knocking him out for the three count!
Fox would manage to get the upper hand this week, stealing the iPad sitting in front of Josh Mathews at the announcer's table to whack Banks across the face before slamming her head first into the ring steps! Fox would stand over Banks with an insane look in her eyes, and you have to wonder just how far Alicia Fox is willing to take things in this blossoming feud.
We then cut to a teaser for next week, as Josh Mathews and CM Punk talk about a show down between two teams of brothers! The Usos, Jimmy and Jey, will be taking on the legendary Hardy Boyz next week! Punk states that the Usos may be "Uso-crazy", but the Hardy Boyz may just be that much more extreme!

Non-Title: reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly) defeat The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) in a very exciting contest after delivering Chasing the Dragon to Chris Sabin. The MCMGs are probably the hottest free agent tag team on the market today, and they proved why with an outstanding effort against the World Tag Team champions tonight. The fans would get behind the fast and highly choreographed spots of the Machine Guns, but sometimes there's no substitute for a good kick or a head drop, and that's what Fish and O'Reilly proved tonight. The champions managed to weather the early storm and then took the wind out the Detroit natives' sails, slowing things down and delivering a lot of punishment between quick tags. Sabin manage to make a tag as we closed in on the end of the match and Shelley would clear house, giving Sabin a breather. Sabin would tag back in blindly as Shelley ran off the ropes and then flung himself out of the ring with a Tope con Hilo to his opponents, but the high risk didn't pay off in the end. O'Reilly would find his way back in and would get the better of Sabin in a battle of strikes, leading Fish would get back into the ring after taking down Shelley on the outside. Cue Chasing the Dragon, and there you have it. reDRagon reign supreme once again, and look good doing so.
Bobby Fish grabs the microphone and says it doesn't matter where you're from, who you work for, or if you work for nobody. Nobody is safe from reDRagon, nobody can hide. O'Reilly gets on the mic and says Young Bucks, Dudleys, Reno Scum, Racketeers, whoever you are, wherever you are, you know where to find reDRagon... and that's in your nightmares!
We go backstage and see Finn Balor warming up, throwing some kicks as Mathews and Punk put over the main event. Punk says he can't wait to see some of those kicks land of Rollins here in a couple of minutes!

Finn Balor defeats Seth Rollins after some outside interference from Sami Zayn lead Balor to hit the Coup de Grace and get the pinfall. Rollins and Balor would have a very entertaining bout, with Rollins showing great ring psychology to combat the intensity of the Irish phenom. Rollins would end up feeling a little too much heat, however, and he would grab the referee, pulling him in front a running Front Dropkick from Balor, crushing him and taking him out of the action. Rollins would roll from the ring and grab a chair, blasting Balor with it as he tried to dive through the ropes. Rollins would bring the chair into the ring and attempted to hit the Pedigree on Balor, only to have Sami Zayn run down to the ring and pull him off of Balor, kicking him and planting him with a Brainbuster onto the chair! The fans would go nuts for this, chanting for Zayn! Balor would make his way up the buckles after shaking off the cobwebs and delivered his Double Stomp to Rollins, putting Rollins down for even a slow three from the injured referee, and earning the pinfall!
The show closes with a close up on the snarling face of Rollins, hair fraying every which way and looking murderously up the ramp at Sami Zayn, who had a big smile on his face.
