Sorry, results are going to be a little abbreviated. Just wanted to get these out and keep things moving. Thanks for the awesome work by everyone else who turned something in, and hopefully I'll be able to do something a little better the next time around. Thanks again, everyone!
Nick Price vs. Kyle Sebastian
After a brief lockup, Price took the early advantage by taking crowd favorite Sebastian down to the canvas with an armbar takedown. Price followed up by whipping Sebastian to the ropes and sending him to the mat again with a dropkick, then again with a second dropkick before going for the pin. Sebastian kicked out after a one-count, then found himself trapped by Price in an abdominal stretch. Price tried to force a submission from Sebastian, who held on long enough to make his way to the ropes and force Price to break the hold. Price then put Sebastian in a headlock, but Sebastian lifted Price up and atomic dropped his opponent, then knocked him to the mat with a clothesline. Sebastian picked up Price but got caught by surprise when Price rolled him into a small package pin attempt, which Sebastian kicked out of at the two-count. Price then whipped Sebastian to the corner and charged at him, but Sebastian quickly dodged, Price hit the turnbuckles and backed right into Sebastian, who hoisted Price onto his shoulders and delivered the Death Valley Driver to get the pinfall win.
Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt
Roman Reigns defeats Bray Wyatt in a wild brawl. These two laid waste to one another all over ring side. Wyatt would try to underhanded tactics throughout, but would eventually catch the Superman Punch, followed by the Spear to take the pinfall loss to Reigns.
Sami Callihan vs. Chris Hero
Chris Hero managed to defeat Sami Callihan in a very tough, physical match up. Both men wear looking to land a knock out blow in this contest, but the most experienced Hero would manage to catch Callihan with a Rolling Elbow to the back of the head to finally put down the "Death Machine" for the three count.
Drew Galloway vs. Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose managed to overcome Drew Galloway in a great back and forth contest. Both of these men have a lot of energy and are very excitable, which made for a combustible contest. Galloway looked like he might be poised to win the match near the end, looking for the Claymore, but Ambrose would avoid it, eventually delivering a Pendulum Lariat, followed by Dirty Deeds to get the pinfall.
Moose vs. Kevin Kross
Moose comes out the New York crowd chanting his name. The crowd boos Kevin & Devon they come out. Moose does not wait for Kross to get in the ring. Moose & Kross fight all the arena. Kross gets the upper hand throwing Moose into the steel post. He throws Moose into the ring. The ref calls for the bell for the match to start. Kross is kicking Moose in the head. He screams I'm the face of the PWE. He hits a T-Bone suplex. He Irish Whips Moose into the corner. He rushs in , Moose move out of the way. Moose then hits corner dropkick . He waits for Kross to get up, goes for the spear, but Kross goes to the outside. Out of nowhere Moose suicide dive to the outside on top of Kross. The crowd goes nuts. Moose throws Kross into the ring. He hits a sick pop up clothesline. Moose then hits a spear . Kross was two close to the rope. He then goes for a fall away slam, but elbows to the head. Kross the hits a German with a bridge for a 2 count. Kross then throws Moose all over the ring. Kross hit his Doomsday Saito only a two count. Kross goes nuts starts pushing the ref. Kross turns around to get dropkicked in the mush. Taylor then gets to the apron yelling at Moose. Moose goes for Taylor , only to get caught by Kross with a kick to the face. Kross then hits a sick powerbomb. He goes for a spear, but Moose counters with a DDT. Moose again goes for the spear. This time Taylor grabs his leg with one hand, throws something to Kross with other. Moose turns around to hit with a punch. Moose goes down like a ton of bricks. Kross hits the Doomsday Saito for the win.
Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins
Sami Zayn defeats Seth Rollins after a very dramatic contest. Rollins and Zayn have some bad blood that's been brewing over the last few weeks, as Rollins cheated to beat Zayn recently and then Zayn got revenge, helping Finn Balor defeat Rollins. Now, here in New York, these two really went after each other and didn't hold anything back. Rollins would try every dirty trick in the book to try to keep Zayn down and get in his head, but Zayn would not be broken! Rollins would get frustrated near in the end and try to bring a chair into play, but Zayn would deliver a Dropkick to send the chair into his face! Zayn would show a lot of emotion, yelling and calling for the end, before delivering the Exploder Suplex into the turnbuckles, followed by the Helluva Kick to get the victory as the fans gave him a huge ovation!
Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar
Samoa Joe would defeat Brock Lesnar by count out to advance. Joe showed skills in not allowing himself to be taken down early, landing many big blows that put Lesnar on guard. Both men would end up bleeding by the end of this, as Kevin Steen blasted both men on commentary. Joe and Lesnar would battle on the outside, but eventually Joe would pull out a pair of brass knuckles and flatten Lesnar on the outside, rolling inside! The ref would count to ten, counting out Lesnar, and Steen was livid. Steen would slide into the ring with his crutches and smack Joe to the back of the head with one, taking him down and then falling down on him and blasting him with punches with his leg in a cast thanks to Joe! Officials would make their way out and break this up, and Steen would not be on commentary for the rest of the night.
Kazuchika Okada vs. Lance Archer
This is a rematch from two weeks ago when Archer and Okada fought to a fifteen minute time limit draw on the debut event for NWA Unlimited in Amarillo, Texas. Both men are true heavyweights in the ring - Okada stands six feet, three inches tall, but is towered when standing next to the six foot, eight inch Archer. As the referee calls for the bell to be rung, the two men lock up with Archer quickly gaining the advantage by backing his Japanese opponent into the corner. Archer throws a knee to the gut and begins blasting the back of Okada with clubs to the back of his neck.
Archer continues to control the early portion of the match, a sharp contrast from their first meeting two weeks ago. In fact, the first five minutes of the bout are so one sided that Archer drops Okada with a big boot and signals he wishes to end the match with a power bomb! Okada shows life, though, flipping the big man over his back, which brings the crowd to its feet! Archer is quick to his feet and charges at Okada, who ducks a clothesline. Archer comes off the far ropes and is met with a beautiful dropkick from Okada!
The next portion of the match is more reminiscent of their encounter as it is back and forth with neither warrior having control for more than a few moments. The action spilled to the outside of the ring where Archer once again regained control by utilizing his powerful offence. He whipped Okada into the ring steps and hit a nice power slam onto the floor! Archer slides Okada into the ring just before the referee reaches his ten count and goes for a pin fall, but Okada manages to kick out at two!
Undeterred, "the American Psycho" picks up the Okada and this time connects with a vicious power bomb. He once again goes for the pin, but Okada again manages to kick out at two! Archer is frustrated but still in control, throwing his opponent into the corner and connecting with vicious blows to the head. Okada's nose begins to bleed as Archer backs up to the opposite corner! He charges and dives into Okada with a big splash! Okada falls to a knee as Archer returns to the opposite corner once more.
He runs and looks to connect with a heavy big boot, but Okada manages to evade the attack. Archer gets hung up in the corner turnbuckles, writhing in pain. Okada, running on adrenaline, smashes Archer down with a back suplex, but is to weak to make the cover. Both men are down as the referee begins a slow ten count.
The two men reach their feet at the same time, with Archer missing wildly on a right punch. He spins right into another backdrop suplex; this time, Okada has enough energy to make the pin! Archer kicks out at two, but he has lost all of the momentum in the match. When he gets to his feet, Archer is hit with a northern lights suplex. Instead of another pin attempt, Okada rushes to the top rope and hits a diving elbow drop! This pin attempt results in another two count!
As Archer slowly crawls to his feet, Okada spreads both arms in the air as the fans gasp in excitement - he is calling for the Rainmaker! He grabs ahold of Archer's arm and spins him around, but Archer ducks the lariat and elbows Okada down. Okada slides out of the ring but is followed by his opponent. Archer attempts to slam Okada into the ring post, but Okada reverses it and sends him head first into the post! Still on the outside, Okada connects with a Rainmaker!
He tosses the big man into the ring and hits another Rainmaker for good measure and pins Archer for the three count! Okada wins the match and heads into the second round of the tournament!
