DARK MATCH
“The Almighty” Sheik def. Kyle Matthews
These two had the duty of warming up the crowd for the iPPV, and Sheik really drew a lot of heat from the crowd waving Syrian flag. Kyle Matthews got the obvious USA chants, and fed off the crowd. Kyle was able to snap off a superkick but it wasn’t enough to put Sheik away, and in the end Sheik was able to soften up Matthews, slapping on the camel clutch forcing Matthews to submit.
DARK MATCH
SoCal Speed(Kazarian & TJ Perkins) def. Impact UK(Doug Williams & Zack Sabre Jr.)
I’m really excited about the pairing of Perkins and Kazarian, and they got to debut in a dark match to get some time in as a tag team before appearing on Tv. The action was great between these two teams, and in the end Kazarian snapped off an Alabama slam and Perkins followed up within seconds with a 450 on Zack Sabre Jr. to give SoCal Speed the win.
The show cuts to “The Voice of Impact” Joey Styles with his partner NWA legend, Ricky Morton. Tonight is such a huge night for NWA Impact, tonight there is FOUR championship matches! The NWA IMPACT TV and X titles will be on the line, as well as the NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT and TAG TEAM titles! Tonight John Cena will finally get a match against his hated rival Takeshi Morishima in a street fight! Colt Cabana will defend his TV title against his former friend and mentor Ace Steel, and n the main event CM Punk will face off against the NWA World Champion Sheamus!
SINGLES MATCH
“The Soviet Shooter” Alex Koslov def. “The Embassy’s Favorite Son” Brandon Bonham w/ Prince Nana
Since Koslov’s arrival to NWA Impact he’s had his sights set on the NWA Impact X title, and in his mind knocking off the first NWA Impact X champion is a way to prepare for his eventual battle with AJ Styles. These two men have faced off in the past with Bonham’s over confidence leading to him getting beaten by Koslov in no time. This time around Bonham fared much better and tried to hit the Burning Mljonir on Koslov who was able to wiggle out and lock Bonham into a Soviet Stretch forcing Bonham to submit.
SINGLES MATCH
“The Physical Genius” Jon Moxley def. “The Greatest Man that ever lived” Austin Aries
Moxley put out an open contract and Aries was the one to sign his name as the opponent, this match had a great pace to it and both men got in a lot of their favorite spots. Moxley tried to win with the hook N’ ladder but Aries was able to come back, trying to hit the brainbuster on Moxley who was able to fight free as the match continued with both men trying hard to put the other away, until Moxley was able to hit the Boma Ye on Aries to finally put him away.
SINGLES MATCH
“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson def. “The Master of Muppets” Jimmy Jacobs
These two have been on fire here in NWA Impact so tonight on iPPV they had a chance to shine. Jacobs put up a hell of a fight but got caught in a LeBelle Lock and was forced to submit to the American Dragon!
STREET FIGHT
Takeshi Morishima w/ The Embassy def. John Cena
John Cena was apart of the BLK OUT stable, that lost at Uncivil War to the Embassy and was forced to disband. It was all due to Morishima’s interference, causing a collision course between these two men with Cena trying to get revenge on Takeshi. This match was brutal with both men sporting crimson masks as they left everything in the ring. Cena was able to plant Morishima on the ramp with a DVD, but was swarmed by Brandon Bonham and Dingo who both ended up getting beaten back by Cena. The distraction was enough for Takeshi to sneak up behind Cena and hit the backdrop driver for the win.
NWA IMPACT X TITLE MATCH
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles© def. Jay Lethal
Jay Lethal was a hot prospect at one point, only to be abruptly released due to creative not having anything for him. Now he’s back ditching the babyface attitude, replacing it with very ruthless aggression that helped him come closer to winning the X title than he had before, but in the end after a grueling contest AJ was able to come away with anoter victory after planting Lethal with a Styles Clash!
NWA IMPACT TELEVISION TITLE MATCH
Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana© def. “The Second City Saint” Ace Steel
These two have so much bad blood, with Steel claiming that he tried to urge on his former student to take it to another level. But Cabana didn’t appreciate his former teachers methods, causing him to be all buisness in this brutal match where Cabana looked to be trying to end the career of the Second City Saint. But Ace obviously didn’t teach Cabana all his tricks as he roared back, but Cabana was able to fight off an Implant DDT attempt and after some battling Cabana was able to snap off the Colt 45 to finally put this chapter behind him.
After the match Ace Steel apologized for everything telling Cabana how proud he is. Steel offered a handshake and after a few moments Cabana took the handshake, giving his teacher a hug as the show cuts to a little commercial for NWA Impact merchandise.
NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
The Revolution© (Kyle O’Reilly & Adam Cole) def. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin)
This was a very exciting match between two young and extremely talented teams, and it was filled with near falls that had the crowd on the edges of their seats. In the end the Revolution was able to come out on top when Kyle O’Reilly was able to force Sabin to tap out with an ankle lock.
The show cuts to a video montage of the war that’s been brewing between CM Punk and Sheamus, with clips from NWA Impact as well as what’s been going on in NWA UK. The hype video high lights Sheamus throwing guinness in the face of Punk and then the scene of Punk throwing pepsi in the face of Sheamus in retaliation leading to Bryan Danielson getting a non-title win over the champ on Adrenaline.
NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
“The Best in the World” CM Punk vs. Sheamus© “Fella”
This match got personal when Sheamus threw alchohal in the face of the Straight-Edge CM Punk during a match on Arenaline. These two have talked a lot of trash but on this night they’d settle things and only one man would come out of this as the NWA World Heavyweight champion! Sheamus tried to brawl his way through this match, beating the chest of CM Punk until it turned a dark shade of crimson. Punk looked to be in a lot of trouble but he started rallying a comeback with quick kicks, keeping his distance from the massive irishmen. The tide really turned after Punk was able to hit the running knee to a dazed Sheamus in the corner, following up with a bulldog! Punk slapped on the Anaconda Vice but the champ still had too much fight in him. Sheamus was able to get a rope break and let his temper get the best of him, and ended up getting caught up in the Devil Lock, Sheamus refused to tap out trying to power out of the hold, but ended up blacking out causing the ref to award CM Punk the win via submission, to crown a NEW NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
CM Punk was on his knees in the middle of the ring holding the title, with tears welling up in his eyes. That’s when the lights went out and came back an eerie hue of blue as the bells started to toll, as the Undertaker makes his return. The deadman stands at the top of the ramp, his eyes white as he makes the cut throat motion as Vs. The World! Goes off the air…
