(You find yourself on the EVOLVE website Thursday night. On the front page is just a banner for EVOLVE 1: Quackenbush/El Generico that says click here. You click on the banner and you are taken to a media player that starts up. The EVOLVE logo pops on the screen and fades away to show Mike Tenay and Lenny Leonard standing in the ring, a small crowd of about 150 fans are in attendence.)
Tenay: Ladies and gentlmen, welcome to EVOLVE Wrestling!
(The crowd goes wild as the camera pans across the front row.)
Tenay: As you all know, this is the first show for us and don't we have a great night set up for you all.
Leonard: That's right, Mike, because tonight, our main event is one that has got the wrestling world buzzing.
Tenay: That's right, Lenny, that match is in the Florida Heavyweight Championship Tournament and will feature two of the biggest name in EVOLVE as Mike Quackenbush will take on El Generico. But that is not all, we have the first block in the King Of The Hill Round Robin Challenge and also the semi-finals of the SHIMMER Championship Tournament.
(As Tenay finishes his statement, “Also sprach Zarathustra” starts playing as “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair comes out to a huge ovation. Flair would saunter down to the ring, where he would shoo off Leonard.)
Tenay: Ladies and gentlemen, the legendary Ric Flair!
(The crowd would still be going wild as Flair would then just look at Tenay, taking the mic.)
Flair: Is that anyway to introduce a wrestling god! Get out of my ring, boy, I have something more important than this little rundown.
(Tenay hurries out of the ring as Flair turns to the camera.)
Flair: For those of you that don't know, I am god! I'm the Nature Boy. Every man in the locker room wishes they could be me. And everyone has been asking, “Natch, why are you here in EVOLVE?” Or they ask, “Hey, God, are you going to be wrestling again?” But that is not why I am here. There is only one man in the back that can even understand why the Nature Boy would grace this dump that EVOLVE calls an arena. And I have decided to take that man and mold him into the next NWA World Heavyweight Champion. WOOOO! So, come on out here, son, show the world who I have hand picked to be that man.
(The 8th theme for the Horsemen starts playing as “Double A” Ace Archer would make his way down the aisle, accompanied by Mia Yum. The crowd instantly go from cheering to a resounding boo.. Archer would hold the ring ropes for Mia as she would enter to the catcalling of the fans. Archer would then enter the ring and shake Ric Flair's hand.)
Flair: WOO! This is him. The man that will be the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. A young man of style and class, just like the Nature Boy. WOOOOOO!
(Archer takes the mic.)
Archer: Isn't that right, Ric. You see, you pathetic grouping of inbred misfits, this is what a champion looks like. And the one thing I don't understand is, why am I not in the Florida Heavyweight Championship tournament. Unlike you fat, pathetic, lazy masses sitting here wishing you could be like me. The nice cars, the big houses, and the lovely women, just like my Mia here.
(Archer twirls around Mia Yum to the sounds of jeers and boos.)
Archer: But instead, I am put in a situation where I have to wrestle twice tonight. And it isn't against the caliber of talent that I should be facing. Who are these guys, Ric?
Flair: Nobodies, they have nothing on you, Ace.
Archer: That is what I said, Ric. But no matter, tonight I will...
(This would bring out EVOLVE Commissioner Jim Cornette, who would come out to the old Midnight Express theme. He would enter the ring and take the microphone from Archer and Flair.)
Cornette: What do you think you two are doing? If you don't know this by now, we are trying to have a wrestling show here, not a bitching and moaning fest.
(Flair and Archer would both be livid as Flair would toss his jacket down and start to drop the elbows on it.)
Cornette: Now, now, Ric, we don't want to have another heart attack now, do you? Here is the deal, you three get back there to the locker room, and Ace, I expect you in your gear by the time your first match comes up or you won't be getting a chance to have a championship in EVOLVE.
(Archer would get right into Cornette's face before Flair back him off. The group would leave the ring as Flair would just shout at Cornette from the aisle.)
Cornette: Now that we got that over, let's get our first match going.
Match 1: Swiss Money Holdings (Claudio Castagnoli/Ares) w/ Allison Danger def. Team Macktion (TJ Mack/Kirby Mack) by pinfall after Claudio would hit Kirby Mack with the Swiss Death (pop-up European uppercut) followed up by Ares hitting the Acquisition (Swinging Fisherman suplex) for the pin.
Match 2: King Of The Hill Round Robin Challenge Series Block A Match: Ace Archer w/ Ric Flair and Mia Yum def. Shiima Xion by submission when Archer locked Xion into the Ace Lock (Nagata Lock/Reverse Figure Four Leglock).
(After the match, Archer would continue the beat down on Shiima Xion, even letting Flair lock him in the Figure Four Leglock.)
Tenay: This is just unfair, how is Xion suppose to fight off two men.
Leonard: Whatever it is that Archer thinks he is going to accomplish with this blantant attack after the bell, it must not be much.
(But as Archer would continue to stomp on the leg of Xion, Jigsaw and Mike Quackenbush would rush to the ring, clearing out Flair and Archer.)
Tenay: And here comes the calvary.
Leonard: And thank god for that, Mike. If they didn't come in when they did, Xion might not have been able to continue in tonight's action.
Tenay: Let's go to the back with Todd Grisham, who is with Mercedes Martinez.
(Todd Grisham would be standing in front of a EVOLVE banner with Martinez standing right beside him.)
Grisham: Thank you, Mike. I am standing here with one of the four women that will be battling to make it to the finals of the SHIMMER Championship Tournament, and that is Mercedes Martinez. Mercedes, tonight, you are taking on the massive Amazing Kong. Do you think that she will be more than a challenge for you?
Martinez: You know what, Todd, they always say, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. And Kong, she is one big bitch. And well, I just happen to want a fight tonight. So Amazing Kong, why don't you go back to catering and make sure you get yourself a huge meal just so that you know you got your contract worth. Because after tonight, everyone will remember my name and how I killed the monster that is Amazing Kong.
(Martinez walks off screen as Grisham looks to the camera.)
Grisham: Let's get back to the ring that match up, back to you Mike and Lenny.
Match 3: Semi-Finals of the SHIMMER Championship Tournament: Amazing Kong def. Mercedes Martinez by pinfall after hitting the Impact Buster. (Amazing Kong advances to the finals of the SHIMMER Championship Tournament.)
Match 4: Triple Threat Match: Gran Akuma def. Lince Dorado and PAC by pinfall after hitting Lince Dorado with the Yoshi Tonic and then grabbed the ropes while getting the pinfall.
(After the match, PAC would chase after Akuma as he slipped through the ropes and started to slowly walk back towards the locker room, arms raised in victory.)
Leonard: Akuma just gained a lot of momentum going into the next Round Robin Challenge set up for our next show.
Tenay: And that is being held for to crown the first ever EVOLVE King Of The Hill Championship. And tonight, we have Block A going at it. Ace Archer was able to defeat Shiima Xion, but will he be able to take down Jigsaw.
Leonard: I just don't know, the huge disadvantage that Jigsaw has is the fact that Ric Flair has alligned himself with Ace Archer. Jigsaw might be playing the numbers game here.
Tenay: Let's get to the ring for that match now.
Match 5: Round Robin Challenge Series Block A Match: Jigsaw w/ Mike Quackenbush def. Ace Archer w/ “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair and Mia Yum by pinfall. During the match, Flair would try to interfere in the match, but Quack would pull Flair off the apron, only to get low blowed by Mia Yum. This would have senior referee Bryce Remsburg to eject all three from ringside. While Ace was arguing with Remsberg, Jigsaw would turn Ace around, hit a superkick, then follow that up with a Shining Wizard to get the cover.
Match 6: Semi-Finals of the SHIMMER Championship Tournament: Sara Del Rey def. Aja Kong by submission with the LeBell Lock. (Del Rey advances to the Finals of the SHIMMER Championship.)
(After the match, Amazing Kong would come down to the ring. Del Rey would turn to see Amazing Kong staring her down. Del Rey would shout at Amazing Kong, only for Aja to turn her around and hit Uraken (Spinning backfist), knocking Del Rey out cold. Amazing Kong would get into the ring, only to stand over Del Rey with her arms raised.)
Tenay: Will this be the scene at the next EVOLVE event? It is now set, it will be Sara Del Rey taking on Amazing Kong, the winner getting the SHIMMER Championship.
Leonard: That match will certainly be one that gets talked about, Mike. But we gotta go to Todd Grisham, he has one of the wrestlers in our next match waiting.
(The screen would change to Todd Grisham standing in front of an EVOLVE banner.)
Grisham: Ladies and gentlemen, Steve Corino.
(Steve Corino would walk onto the screen with Kevin Steen. Steen would take the mic from Grisham and hand it to Corino.)
Corino: Tonight, history will be made. Not only here in Florida, but all over the world. Tonight, I, The King Of Old School, walks into the ring with a man that is too scared to show his face. Super Dragon, what a fitting name for a wannabe superhero who thinks he can walk into MY ring and beat ME! What is this, ABC Saturday Mornings? No, wait, let me guess, Fox Kids? This is wrestling, not some place where men in masks prance around and be all flippy. And this is the night when that dies at the hands of Steve Corino.
(Steen would just applaud Corino's words. Corino would drop the mic as both men walked off camera.)
Match 7: First Round Match in the Florida Heavyweight Championship Tournament: Steve Corino w/ Kevin Steen def. Super Dragon by pinfall after hitting the Eternal Dream (Sliding lariat). During the match, Ace Archer and Ric Flair would come down the aisle with chairs and sit down to watch the match.
(After the match, Steen would get into ring as Flair and Archer stood up. Steen would hit Dragon with the Package Piledriver as Corino would hold the ropes open for Flair and Archer. Archer would walk up to Dragon and set up for the Ace Lock, but out would run Jigsaw, Quackenbush, and Eddie Kingston would rush down to the ring. This would clear out Corino, Steen, Archer and Flair, but out would come Jim Cornette.)
Cornette: Seeing as though you guys can't wait to fight it out, next show, it will be Corino, Steen, and Archer against Jigsaw, Mike Quackenbush, and a partner of their choosing. Now, since Jigsaw has a match, and it does impact you, Ace, everyone is barred from ringside. Now, get Xion out here and let's get this show rolling.
Match 8: King Of The Hill Round Robin Challenge Series Block A Match: Jigsaw def. Shiima Xion after hitting the Cancun Tornado (Corkscrew moonsault press).
(After the match, Jigsaw would be celebrating in the ring.)
Leonard: And that does it folks, Jigsaw is advancing to the threeway dance for the EVOLVE King Of The Hill Championship.
Tenay: That's right, Lenny. But that leaves two more blocks and they are both filled with pretty heavy competition....
(As Jigsaw celebrates, Ace Archer and Kevin Steen jump through the crowd. Archer would hit Jigsaw with a huge spinebuster, rolling him up into Steen's package piledriver setup, only to make it a spiked Package Piledriver.)
Tenay: Oh my god! Archer and Steen just decimated Jigsaw, I wonder if he will be able to compete in the 6 man tag now.
Leonard: I have no clue, Mike.
(As Archer and Steen stand over Jigsaw, Kingston would come running out with a chair. The two men would quickly exit the ring and jump over the gaurdrail. Kingston would check on Jigsaw as the EMTs came in.)
Leonard: Jigsaw isn't looking oh so good right now.
Tenay: And it's all because of Ace Archer and Kevin Steen. Why would those two men do this? Folks, we will make sure you are updated on the condition of Jigsaw, but we have to get to our main event.
Leonard: It's the match everyone has been waiting for, “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush going head to head with “The Generic Luchadore” El Generico. The winner advances to the Semi-finals of the Florida Heavyweight Championship Tournament.
MAIN EVENT: First Round Match in the Florida Heavyweight Championship Tournament: El Generico def. Mike Quackenbush by pinfall. During the match, Claudio Castagnoli would stand at the entrance way and watch the match. This would distract Quack as he was close to finishing the match. But as Quack would go for an Irish whip into the corner, Generico would reverse it and hit Quack with the Helluva Kick (Running Yakuza Kick), followed by a Brainbuster for the pinfall. (El Generico advances to the semi-Finals)
(As the match ends, Generico would celebrate in the ring. Claudio would stay on the entrance stage as he would applaud in a very sarcastic way. Quack would get to the corner and prop himself up as he glares at Claudio.)
Tenay: And it seems Claudio has cost Quackenbush his shot at the Florida Heavyweight Championship, but why?
Leonard: We seem to have a lot of unanswered questions so far. But what we do know is that at EVOLVE 2, it will be Quackenbush, hopefully Jigsaw, and a partner of their choosing take on Ace Archer, Steve Corino, and Kevin Steen. But who knows what will happen with this thing.

(As the match ends, Generico would celebrate in the ring. Claudio would stay on the entrance stage as he would applaud in a very sarcastic way. Quack would get to the corner and prop himself up as he glares at Claudio.)
Tenay: And it seems Claudio has cost Quackenbush his shot at the Florida Heavyweight Championship, but why?
Leonard: We seem to have a lot of unanswered questions so far. But what we do know is that at EVOLVE 2, it will be Quackenbush, hopefully Jigsaw, and a partner of their choosing take on Ace Archer, Steve Corino, and Kevin Steen. But who knows what will happen with this thing.
