The show opens with “F*ckin in the bushes” by Oasis as the crowd seems really into the first show of NWA Impact UK. Dave Bradshaw and “The Original Pukka” Darren Burridige welcome the fans to this the debut show of Impact UK on Sky Sports tonight we’ve got a great card and obviously a brand new direction from what Impact was in the states. But first we’ll be hearing from the Commissioner “The Wonder Kid” Jonny Storm
Jonny Storm is in the ring, smiling as he addresses the excited crowd. Welcoming them to the first show of Impact UK, and letting them know that he’d like to see a Brit go to Unleashed to face Colt Cabana for the TV title, so tonight Bryan Danielson will defend his #1 Contenders spot against Burchill and Johnny Moss! This got a decent pop from the crowd, Storm also announced that next week we’d have a little tag tournament to find out who will go to Unleashed to face The Revolution for the NWA World Tag Team Titles! Jonny Storm looked to have more to say but Alex Shane and his crew came out and took over the show, shooing off Storm with sheer numbers and ushering on the first match of the night…
TAG TEAM MATCH
Iestyn Rees & Joel Redman w/Mark Haskins, Ms.Behave & Alex Shane def. TMDK (Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste)
The Aussie’s didn’t get the best reaction from the crowd, but Alex Shane’s faction made sure the crowd knew who the real heels were in this one. Shane Haste was able to snap off a TKO on Redman but Ms. Behave got on the apron to distract the ref as Haskins got in the ring hitting the Cradle to the Grave on Haste, pulling Redman over Haste while Rees kept Nicholls at bay. When the ref turned around all he saw was Redman covering Haste for the three count!
Alex Shane is smiling excitedly as he gets in the ring with his group. But the smile soon fades as he gets on the microphone and tells the crowd that he believes whole heartedly that there is a conspiracy going on. No promotion has survived outside of the USA, so Shane promises to take control of this promotion and make sure that it becomes a global powerhouse! All hail the United Kingdom!
SINGLES MATCH
Owen Phoenix def. “Xtreme” Dean Allmark
This was a fast paced match, both men were trying hard to show off for the television audience. Both men pulled off as much of they’re favorite offense as possible but Allmark fell victim to a falcon’s arrow from Phoenix.
SINGLES MATCH
“The Man that Gravity Forgot” PAC def. Nick Riley
Nick Riley got a nice response from the crowd as he came out to the ring like a ball of energy high fiving fans at ringside, but once in the ring he didn’t fare well against one of the best high flyers in the world. PAC snapped off a 630 Senton to score the win.
Dave Bradshaw announced to the crowd that CM Punk wouldn’t be on the show tonight due to Undertaker chokeslamming him out of the ring and through a table last week, Punk is home in Chicago nursing those injuries but will be back next week!
TAG TEAM MATCH
The Gladiators(Magnus & Mason Ryan) def. The Kartel (Sha Samuels & Terry Frazier)
Mason Ryan and Magnus were both on the UK Gladiators show, which got them a great response from the fans. The Kartel make a great tag team with Samuels bringing power and Frazier bringing finesse, but Ryan and Magnus are just so powerful that they were able to pull off the win after Ryan slammed Frazier to the mat with a huge full nelson slam!
SINGLES MATCH
“The Soviet Shooter” Alex Koslov def. “The New Horror” Sami Callihan
Before the match Koslov got on the mic and addressed current X division champion AJ Styles, telling him he should take notes on how a true X division star beats an opponent, and that he’d take the challenge from anyone in the back. The look of confidence washed off the face of Koslov as Sami Callihan came out and immediately started brawling with the Soviet Shooter. This match was brutal and didn’t really go the way that Koslov had hoped, but he was able to catch a lucky break and slap on the Soviet Stretch forcing Callihan to submit.
It wasn’t a pretty win, but it was a win either way. Koslov looked irked that he had such a fight with Callihan, but ended up smiling going into the commercial break that his undefeated streak is still intact.
SINGLES MATCH
“The Physical Genius” Jon Moxley def. Adrian “Lionheart” McCallum
McCallum is a fighter, who doesn’t ever give up. Moxley is as vicious as they come and this match was one of the longer matches of the night. McCallum just kept fighting back against everything Moxley tried throwing at him and it really frustrated him. McCallum came off the ropes with a springboard crossbody for a near fall but Moxley was able to kick out and quickly hit a boma ye on McCallum but due to the rage of Moxley he sat the KO’d McCallum up putting the finger gun to his head before hitting off the ropes to hit another brutal Boma Ye but the ref dived in to make the save, declaring Moxley the winner by KO.
SINGLES MATCH
Kincade def. Rob Terry w/ Elwood Gately
Kincade was explosive taking on the biggest guy in Impact UK, and he looked so comfy with the crowd completely behind him. Rob Terry tried to use his raw power to wear down the energy of Kincade, but with the support of the crowd Kincade was able to break out of a brutal bearhug and unleash a fluerry of offense, capping it off with a big time spear for the three count!
NWA IMPACT UK TELEVISION TITLE #1 CONTENDER THREE WAY DANCE
“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson def. Burchill & Johnny Moss w/ Hade Vansen
Danielson didn’t look very happy that after surviving through a brutal tournament, he’s now subjected to a three way dance against two guys that were appointed by a commissioner. Burchill and Moss teamed up to put a beating on the American Dragon but ended up bickering to the point that they attacked each other! Burchill snapped off the C4 out of nowhere putting Moss out of the match, bringing the fight down to Danielson and Burchill, the match continues with a lot of near falls and great wrestling that gets the fans chanting, sounding more like a futbol match as Danielson is finally able to slap on Cattle Mutilation forcing Burchill to submit.
The crowd is still going wild after the great main event, Danielson got on the mic and absolutely birrated the crowd. Telling them that he doesn’t need their cheers, he doesn’t need their respect, he’s here to show them that he is the AMERICAN Dragon and that he’s only here to win championships and make people submit. Danielson boasts that at Unleashed he’s going to force Colt Cabana to tap out!
