The show starts out hot as the crowd makes some futbol style chants as the show oepns up with Dave Bradshaw and “The Pukka” Darren Burridge, we’re less than a two weeks away from Unleashed if you can believe that. Tonight is action packed and Sky Sports have given us an extra half hour so we can bring you a very exciting tag team tournament to determine the contenders for the NWA World Tag Team Titles, currently held by The Revolution! Also tonight CM Punk will be in action against Kincaide! If you remember last week Bryan Danielson was in a three way dance with Burchill and Johnny Moss which ended with these two men developing some bad blood that they’ll spill tonight! Without further delay let’s get to the tag team tournament!
TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT MATCH
TMDK(Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste) w/ Prince Nana def. Shane Oldham & Nick Riley
Oldham and Riley formed quick team just to try for a shot at some big time gold, and they did a really good job against the more established TMDK. The end came when Shane Haste hit the F5 on Riley to get the pinfall.
The lovely Jessyka Deville is standing in the interview area with Hade Vansen and his client, “The Boss” Johnny Moss. Vansen is fuming that Burchill betrayed his country when he hit the C4 on Moss last week and eliminated him from the three way dance involving Bryan Danielson and the #1 Contenders spot for the Impact UK TV Title! But tonight Burchill won’t be able to stab Moss in the back because he’ll have to stand face to face with “The Boss”!
TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT MATCH
Switchblade Conspiracy(Sami Callihan & Jon Moxley) def. Lucky & Fit Finlay
This was a brutal match up that had Callihan and Lucky both getting some blood spilled, Finlay did a great job and got a “you still got it” chant from the crowd, but the youth of the Conspiracy was a bit to much and Moxley was able to snap off the Boma Ye putting Finlay down for a three count.
After the match Lucky tried to extend a handshake to Callihan for a well fought match, but Callihan ended up spitting in the face of Lucky which caused a brawl to erupt between the two men causing security to get involved to break up the scuffle.
TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT MATCH
The UK Gladiators(Mason Ryan & Magnus) w/ Elwood Gately def. The Leaders of the New School(Zack Sabre Jr. & Marty Scurlls) w/ Charles Boddington
This was a one sided match, with no disrespect to the ultra talented Leaders of the New School, but the UK Gladiators were just dominating and Mason Ryan planted Zack Sabre Jr. with a spine breaking full nelson slam for the victory.
After the match, Dave Bradshaw announces that commissioner Jonny Storm has made a match for Unleashed, due to the fight between Callihan and Lucky earlier they will face one another in a match at the iPPV!
The show cuts to the interview area again where Jessyka Deville is standing with Kincaide, who will be in the main event tonight facing CM Punk in a non-title match. Kincaide let everyone know that he respects what Punk’s done in his career but now Kincaide is going to show the world that he’s on the same level as someone the calibur of Punk , because tonight all Kincaide has to do is hit the spear and he’s beaten the best in the world!
TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT MATCH
The United Kingdom(Joel Redman & Iestyn Rees) w/ Alex Shane, Mark Haskins & Ms. Behave def. The Kartel(Sha Samuels & Terry Frazier)
The Kartel looked so good in this match, with Samuels having a stand out performance, but due to lots of outside interference from outside, Redman and Rees were able to hit the doomsday device on Terry Frazier while Sha Samuels was held by his boot by Haskins keeping him from making the save for his partner.
Sha Samuels is a hot headed bruiser and he let his temper get the best of him as he started to beat the hell out of Haskins for interfereing, but he was soon swarmed by the rest of the United Kingdom who picked apart the Kartel and made an example of them before the commercial break.
SINGLES MATCh
“The Rippa” Burchill def. “The Boss” Johnny Moss w/ Hade Vansen
This match had a lot of surpising bad blood, as Moss turned this into something personal that really shouldn’t have been. Burchill is a beast though and didn’t back down from the fight, he even had Moss in position for a C4 but Moss was able to fight free and ended up getting so frustrated he got a chair from Vansen using it to try to cave in the skull of Burchill as the ref DQ’d him!
After the horrific chairshot, Johnny Moss stood in the ring grinning until the commissioner of Impact UK made his appearance. Jonny Storm was in the mood to make matches tonight, as he came out and announced that at Unleashed, it would be Burchill vs. Johnny Moss in a London Street Fight!
TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL MATCH
The United Kingdom(Joel Redman & Iestyn Rees) w/ Mark Haskins, Alex Shane & Ms.Behave def. The UK Gladiators (Magnus & Mason Ryan) w/ Elwood Gately
The UK Gladiators were in the drivers seat for this match, and they looked to have the match in the bag but yet again outside interference came into play. Alex Shane made the distraction as Ms.Behave pulled a pair of brass knuckles out of her cleavage, tossing it to Iestyn Rees who nailed Magnus with a huge shot, throwing the knuckles out of the ring before the ref turned around to make the three count! The United Kingdom are going to the finals!
Jonny Storm was out again and he was fuming, Storm announced that Alex Shane, Mark Haskins & Ms.Behave were banned from ringside in the tag team tournament finals match! If anyone of them is seen even peeking out from behind the curtain they will be terminated!
The show cuts to Bryan Danielson who boasts that he’s beaten the best that britain has to offer, and now at Unleashed he faces off against Colt Cabana for the TV title, with that title he plans to defend it every chance he gets so the fans here in the UK can get to see the greatest wrestler in the world ply his craft, when he slaps on the cattle mutilation, and the ref asks if they submit all they’ll say is YES! YES! YES! He’s the American Dragon and he’s going to show everyone of the UK fans that America does everything better!
TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL MATCH
Switchblade Conspiracy(Sami Callihan & Jon Moxley) vs. TMDK(Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste) w/ Prince Nana
This was a great match up with both team exchanging a lot of near falls, but Callihan was able to snap off the headlock driver on Nicholls to give his team the advance to face The United Kingdom in the finals!
FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH
Nick Riley def. PAC, Mark Haskins and Owen Phoenix
The X division champion was at ringside to scout the talent in this match, the match was so fast paced and had bodies flying, crashing and burning all over the ring and around ringside. Everytime someone looked to be on the verge of winning someone would break it up and this match ate up a lot of the television time, but Nick Riley was able to end it with Sliced Bread #2 on Haskins for the victory!
Styles stood up to applaud Nick Riley, only to be attacked from behind as Alex Koslov hopped the barracade and blindsided Styles! Koslov used some wires to choke Styles before slapping on the Soviet Stretch! Styles instinctively tapped out but Koslov wouldn’t release the hold, it was up to security and road agents to finally pull Koslov off of the X division champion!
TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT FINALS MATCH
The United Kingdom(Joel Redman & Iestyn Rees) def. The Switchblade Conspiracy(Jon Moxley & Sami Callihan)
The Switchblade Conspiracy seemed to actually have a pretty fare chance of winning this one thanks to Jonny Storm barring the rest of the United Kingdom from ringside! The match was pretty back and forth until the ref got sandwiched in the corner putting him out of action for awhile, in the confusion Lucky made a run in hitting the irish car bomb on Callihan, sliding out of the ring right after as the ref came around to find Joel Redman covering Callihan for the victory!
Once Callihan realized what happened he was completely livid, pulling at his hair as he sat in the middle of the ring rocking like a mad man.
SINGLES MATCH
“The Best in the World” CM Punk def. Kincaide
After a handshake of mutual respect these two set to tear the roof off the place as they exchanged holds and really put on a great showing, Kincaide is a mix of Rock and Cena so he’s oozing with charisma. Punk had a hard time with Kincaide who almost won the match after snapping off his finishing move, the spear. But it was to early as Punk was able to kick out and slap on the anaconda vice during an exchange of holds, catching Kincaide off guard and forcing him to tap out.
After the match CM Punk got on the mic, holding his NWA World Heavyweight title, as he started to berate Mark Calloway (The Undertaker) for the cheap attack he pulled off two weeks ago when he chokeslammed him through a table on the outside of the ring. Punk told Mark that he wasn’t mad at him he just felt sorry for him, sorry that the old man has to use surprise attacks to try to injure the champion before the big match because he knows, he knows in his heart that he can’t go like he used to and that he’s going to have to use every shortcut possible to try to come away with the title. But what Mark doesn’t realize is that Punk doesn’t use shortcuts his straight-edge lifestyle has made him tougher and more determined than anyone else, and he’s going to use that to put the deadman down.
