Masa Horie - At the end of our Spring Supershow two weeks ago, there was a three-way tug of war over the NWA World Women’s Title. Nattie Neidhart had just taken champion Mickie James to a 30 minute draw. When the match was over, the JPP Singles Champion, Hiroyo Matsumoto, made it known that she wanted a shot at the title. The NWA Championship Committee made a match for NWA Showcase #3 last weekend for the NWA World Women’s Title. Our JPP Singles Champion, Hiroyo Matsumoto, travelled back across the Pacific to take part in in that match. Hiroyo faced off against Mickie James at Nattie Neidhart for the title. After a very physical battle between three of the most skilled women in the NWA, Nattie Neidhart locked Mickie James into the sharpshooter and forced her to tap out.
Everyone in JoshiPuroPride would like to congratulate Nattie Neidhart on becoming the NEW NWA World Women’s Champion.

Ray Cassler - Welcome to another episode of Cassler's Corner. I'm your polyglot host Ray Cassler. Usually here on the Corner, I interview someone who was on the show tonight. Tonight, my guest is someone you mave have seen on camera briefly, but never in a match. She is the head trainer at the JPP dojo just downstairs. Please welcome a lady who had a great career in the ring and is now a great trainer, Yoshiko Tamura!

Yoshiko Tamura - Thank you Cassler chan.

Ray Cassler - I see that you still wear your sunglasses all the time

Yoshiko Tamura - They're more of a habit now. Sorta like your hair dye.

Ray Cassler - I don't know what you mean, this is my natural colour. Enough about fashion, how are things going at the dojo these days?

Yoshiko Tamura - Everyone who gets into the sport of puroresu knows that serious or career ending injuries can happen at any time. Unfortunately, Kaori Yoneyama found that out last weekend. Puroresu always needs new talent in development to fill the place when someone leaves the sport. That is why we have several girls in our dojo learning to become wrestlers.

Ray Cassler - Back in February, you held an open tryout for the dojo. Are any of the girls from that tryout still in training at the dojo?

Yoshiko Tamura - Five of the girls from the tryout were offered spots in the dojo. One couldn't handle the physical rigors and quit in just over a week. Another thought that partying late into the night and choosing not to show up when she fealt like it was ok. She was let go. We still have three girls left in the class, two from here in Hong Kong and one from Japan. If they all keep up their hard work, they could be stars in JPP's future.
