”All Walks of Life” – Middle class Rut plays as Adrenaline takes to the air waves. The voice of Impact UK, David Bradshaw welcomes everyone to the show, and introduces his partner “The Original Pukka” Darren Burridge. The introductions were cut short as the owner of Impact UK, Dustin Smith comes out wearing a three piece suit, and carrying a microphone as he gets in the ring.
Dustin Smith: Tonight is the first day in a new era here in NWA Impact UK, commissioner Jonny Storm and I sat down with everyone on the roster since we’ve moved to the UK. Anyone who wanted out of their contracts to go back to the states was allowed to buy out their contract. So we’ve obviously lost a lot of american talent… with both the Television and X champions have returned to america, so tonight we’re going to set the ball rolling and crown new champions! Tonight we’ll have a few tournament matches with both titles being crowned on June 3rd at “Raising the Bar!”[/i]
NWA IMPACT UK X TOURNAMENT MATCH
Zack Sabre Jr. def. “Superstar” Sam Bailey
After a great paced match, Zack Sabre Jr. nailed the Sabre Driver on Bailey to put him away kind of quickly to advance to the next round.
TAG TEAM MATCH
The Kartel(Sha Samuels & Terry Frazier)def. Xtremely Legit(Jack Gallager & Dean Allmark)
The Kartel have a lot of experience as a tag team, but the newly formed team of Allmark and Gallager were absolutely punishing, they bring an old school flare to the match . Terry Frazier got cut off from Sha Samuels as Gallager and Allmark did a vicious double team on Frazier. Frazier was able to hit a vicious kick to the side of Allmark’s skull knocking him down long enough for Frazier to get the hot tag to big Sha Samuels who was on fire as he put both members of Xtremely Legit on the mat before picking up Allmark in a fireman’s carry as Frazier nailed a superkick, Samuels pinned Allmark to the mat for the academic three count!
If you watched Showcase you know that Impact UK featured an 8 man tag, that saw Johnny Moss, Iestyn Rees, Joel Redman and Mark Haskins get the victory over Kincaide, Burchill, Sha Samuels and Terry Frazier. That was due to the fact that Nigel McGuinness made his debut appearance, nailing Kincaide who was the sole survivor for his team with a jaw breaker lariat. We go to Jessyka DeVille who is standing by with Nigel McGuinness asking him why he did what he did. Nigel’s answer was simple, the United Kingdom offered him well over 600 quid and that’s what he’s in this business for, the money.
NWA IMPACT UK X TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH
Owen Phoenix def. “Spiral” Shane Oldham
These two guys are young and electric as they put on a match that arguably stole the show. Oldham almost won the match with a tornado DDT, but Phoenix was able to get his shoulder up at the last second to keep himself in this match. Phoenix was able to pull off the victory after nailing a spinning falcons arrow!
NWA IMPACT UK TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH
“The Rippa” Paul Burchill def. Adrian “Lionheart” McCallum
Burchill was a monster in this match, he dominated McCallum with a vicious onslaught. But Lionheart was able to come back fighting back against the Rippa, but in the end he took a C4 from Burchill and that was all she wrote for this one.
The show cuts to the office of Jonny Storm who’s filling out some paper work when “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson bursts into the room looking pissed off as he demands that he get’s to use his #1 Contendership to get a free ride to the finals of the UK title tournament, but Storm instead allowed Danielson to just have a first round bye! Danielson grudgingly accepted before skulking out of the ring slamming the door, knocking a picture of Storm off the wall.
NWA IMPACT UK TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH
Mason Ryan def. “Big” Rob Terry
These two were heavy hitters throwing massive hands in a brawl. The match was brutal and in the end Mason Ryan was able to pull off the win with full nelson slam!
”Cult of Personality” plays as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk makes his way to the ring with the World title over his shoulder, he’s grinning after coming out on top in the rematch he had with Sheamus at the Showcase. CM Punk addresses the crowd, letting them know he’s still the NWA World Heavyweight champion. Punk climbed out of the ring to celebrate with the fans at ringside. But Punk ended up getting blindsided by Jon Moxley and a steel chair, Moxley sat Punk up against the guard rail and hit the Boma Ye sandwiching Punk’s head between the steel of the guard rail and Moxley’s knee. Security and road agents rushed the scene as EMT’s attended to the World Champion who’s face was covered in crimson.
NWA IMPACT UK TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH
“The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus def. Iestyn Rees w/ Joel Redman
This match didn’t last long as Sheamus was fueled by his recent lost to CM Punk, trying to change his stars he nailed a brogue kick on Rees to put him away easily.
NWA IMPACT X TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH
Jody Fleisch def. “The Man that Gravity Forgot” PAC
Fleisch got a great ovation from the crowd, and PAC used it to draw a lot of heat to get over as a heel, the match was so fast paced and PAC got hit with a 720 DDT after a really great match.
NWA IMPACT UK TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH
Kincaide def. ”The Boss” Johnny Moss w/ Alex Shane
These two guys have tons of bad blood, and only one will continue on the road to Raising the Bar to challenge for the NWA Impact UK title. Johnny Moss’s animosity was his undoing as he shoved to the ref away for trying to break up a rope break, allowing Kincaide to recouperate enough to snap off the spear to advance him to the next round.
