The show opened with the owner of NWA East Coast, Dustin Smith dressed in a suit, standing in them iddle of the ring. He welcomed the crowd to NWA East Coast, and let them know that this weekend isn’t about storylines, it’s about crowning the first NWA East Coast Champion!
EAST COAST TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH
“Notorious 187” Homicide def. “Milk Chocolate” Willie Mack
This match was pretty back and forth in the beginning but it didn’t last long, Homicide ended up setting up a pace that Mack wasn’t able to come back from and ended up taking a huge mafia kick while on one knee to get put away.
EAST COAST TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH
Takeshi Morishima def. “Bad Ass” BJ Whitmer
Willie Mack atleast put up a fighting chance against Homicide, this match however was completely dominated by the monsterous Morishima who made an example out of Whitmer with not one but two backdrop drivers, the pinfall was a given.
EAST COAST TITLE TOURNAMENT
“The Mossy Oak Maniac” Drake Younger def. “Crazy Munky” Jun Kasai
Drake Younger made his way down to the ring coming through the crowd and enjoying the fans. Jun Kasai cut Younger off at the guard rail as both men ended up brawling at ringside before the match even began! The fight got out of hand and both men ended up sporting crimson masks after beating the hell out of each other with chairs and whatever they could get their hands on from fans in the crowd. Once the match got into the ring it was all about one upping the other guy, and in the end Drake nailed the Drakes Landing on a chair to put Kasai away after a wild fight.
EAST COAST TITLE TOURNAMENT
“The Real F’n Deal” Rhyno def. El Generico
Rhyno made a statement in this match, don’t f*ck with Rhyno. This match was very short as Rhyno nearly tore Generico in half with a gore!
TAG TEAM MATCH
The Batiri(Obariyon & Kodama) def. SoCal Speed(Kazarian & TJ Perkins)
This was a great mix of styles that had a lot of exciting moments, SoCal Speed played the faces in this match but the Batiri were able to come out on top after Kodama spit green mist in Perkins eyes and scored with a huge kick.
EAST COAST TITLE TOURNAMENT
Petey Williams def. Shockwave the Robot
Shockwave endeared himself as a crowd favorite with all his dancing, but Petey was all over him taking the dancing as an insult. Shockwave opened up the keyboard on his arm and apparently kicked himself into overdrive but still fell victim to the canadian destroyer!
EAST COAST TITLE TOURNAMENT
“One of a Kind” Dylan Klein vs. “Valhalla’s Favorite Son”Brandon Bonham
Bonham was at a severe size disadvantage but he still fought hard trying to make his way towards becoming the first East Coast Champion. But Klein finished him off soundly with the Stunna.
EAST COAST TITLE TOURNAMENT
Paul London def. “The Soviet Shooter” Alex Koslov
This match was back and forth as both men really wanted the win here, and it was a very exciting contest that had to crowd chanting “This is Awesome!” Koslov tried to lock on the Soviet Stretch a few times but in the end he got hit with a DDT followed up with London Calling to give Paul London the advance.
EAST COAST TITLE TOURNAMENT
“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson def. “The Rippa” Burchill
Burchill tried to bring the fight to the American Dragon, dominating Danielson with his size and brute strength but Danielson is so talented he was able to come back with counter after counter to keep himself in this match. Burchill snapped off the C4 on Danielson and it looked to be over, but Danielson was able to kick out! The match continued but Danielson was obviously in a bad way after the C4 but he was able to slap on a crossface chickenwing in the middle of the ring forcing Burchill to tap out!
SINGLES MATCH
“The Best in the World” CM Punk def. Brian Kendrick
This was a fun match to end the show, no titles on the line, it was just meant to be a nice finish to the first day of the East Coast Tournament weekend. Kendrick put on a great showing that should really put him on the map in NWA East Coast. He tried for Sliced Bread #2 but was shoved off, and ended up letting his temper be his undoing as Punk slapped on the Anaconda Vice forcing Kendrick to submit.
