LIVE from the Great Plains Coliseum in Lawton, Oklahoma-
*scene opens to a jam-packed Cowtown Coliseum in Ft. Worth, TX. We see NWA Southwest and World Class Championship Wrestling banners everywhere. We head to the announce table, and meet up with Greg Hunter and John Johnson*
Greg Hunter: Good evening, wrestling fans and welcome to World Class Championship Wrestling. No doubt there are some of you wondering why we didn’t call the promotion WCCW. I don’t have the answer to that question, but someone will be out later to answer that. This is the inaugural episode of what we hope will be many shows from our new venture, NWA Southwest. We got one heck of a show tonight, right, John?
John Johnson: Sure do, Greg. Here’s the lineup-
Nick Halen takes on Slim J
Nemesis takes on Ace Rockwell
Pomp and Circumstance takes on The Lost Boyz. This one could have a bearing on the upcoming NWA Texas Tag Team Title tournament.
Anthony Franco takes on “The Animal” Batista
Chavo Guerrero and Jeremy V takes on the team of Vampiro and “The Priest of Punishment” Mikael Judas.
Caprice Coleman takes on Big Daddy V
And in the Main Event, Adam Jacobs and John Phoenix takes on Murder One and The Undertaker.
Without further ado, LET THE ASSKICKING COMMENCE!!!
This match was short and brutal, with Slim J going aerial early and often, finally hitting a spinning neckbreaker in 2:29 to finish this one.
Match Rating: 3.0
After the match, the medics had to help Slim J to the back. After being looked at, it was determined that he had sustained a neck injury and would be sidelined for 1 show.
One half of the Urban Assault Squad took on one half of Pomp and Circumstance. The result was sheer bedlam. The two of them went to the floor around the 12 minute mark. Nemesis rammed Rockwell into the railing, and slid back into the ring. Unbeknownst to him, Shaun Tempers snuck into the ring and clocked Nemesis from behind with a steel chair. The referee spotted the shenanigans and called for the bell, giving the match to Nemesis by way of a DQ in 12:29
Match Rating: 2.25
After the match, Nemesis made his way back to the locker room while Rockwell and Tempers got ready for the next match.
This match was a fast paced affair. Rockwell was clearly tiring after participating in the previous match and Azrael took advantage of it. The Lost Boyz kept Rockwell in their side of the ring. Azrael nailed the Flying Elbow in 5:24 to win the match.
Match Rating: 2.5
On paper, this one looked to be one-sided, but Franco fooled everybody and used his agility to keep Batista off-balance, finally getting the upset win with a Small Package in 15:00.
Match Rating: 2.25
This was an interesting match. Chavo and Jeremy gelled together as a team, while Vampiro and Judas didn’t quite click. Jeremy V caught Judas with a flying head scissors in 11:53 to win the match.
Match Rating: 2.5
This one belonged to Big Daddy V as he brutalized Coleman, finally putting him away with the Ghetto Drop in 12:26.
Match Rating: 3.25
Nice nasty tag team match this one was. Taker nailed Jacobs with the Last Ride TWICE, but Jacobs somehow kicked out! Undertaker slipped at one point, and Jacobs capitalized by hitting the Georgia Jam in 17:44 to pick up the upset win!
Match Rating: 4.0
After the match, NWA Southwest Commissioner Jonathan Darkstar came out.
Jonathan Darkstar: How are y’all doing? *thunderous pop from the fans* Well, you ain’t seen nothing yet! On the next episode of World Class Championship Wrestling, we’ll be holding a triple threat tag team match to crown new NWA Texas Tag Team Champions, AND a one-night tournament to crown a new NWA Texas Heavyweight Champion! Don’t you dare miss it!
Overall Rating: 3.0
