This match was extremely fast paced as both teams were trying to out speed the other, the Batiri were pretty ruthless, but Kazarian was able to duck a green mist attempt by Kodama, following up with a flatliner on Kodama for the victory.
The show cuts to Dylan Klein and Burchill who are in the interview area with the lovely Jessyka DeVille. ULTIMATE X QUALIFYING MATCH
Mistico def. Samuray del Sol
In an incredible lucha style match these two guys made it hard for the fans to blink because no one wanted to miss a second of this match, the match actually started out with a handshake of respect before they pulled out all the stops. Samuray tried to keep himself away from La Mistica but he was unsuccessful as Mistico was eventually able to slap on the submission hold forcing del Sol to submit.
ULTIMATE X QUALIFYING MATCH
“The Soviet Shooter” Alex Koslov def. Brian Kendrick
Kendrick was absolutely livid at the end of this match throwing a temper tantrum that he won’t be going to the X title match at the iPPV. Which is a shame because Koslov used a lot of underhanded tactics to get the win in this one. Kendrick almost came away with the win even through all the cheating, but as he went for Sliced Bread, Koslov was able to counter crotching Kenderick on the top rope following up with a variaton of a russian legsweep following up with his octopus stretch to force the submission victory on Kendrick.
SINGLES MATCH
Shockwave the Robot def. “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson
Shockwave is on the East Coast roster because he’s fun to watch, and he’s a hell of a dancer but Danielson came up short last week and wasn’t in a good mood as he beat the absolute hell out of Shockwave before slapping on the crossface chickenwing! The problem was Danielson refused to release the hold, and ended up forcing the ref to reverse his call and declare Shockwave the winner!
SINGLES MATCH
“The Physical Genius” Jon Moxley def. “Bad Ass” BJ Whitmer
Moxley has been floating around main events and titles for so long that he must have been looking beyond Whitmer and it gave BJ a chance to make a name for himself as he came guns blazing into this match, throwing everything he has into beating Moxley. But Moxley was able to keep himself from being “embarressed” as he started brutalizing the legs of Whitmer, forcing Whitmer to hobble and eventually struggle getting to his feet, it was all to set up the end as Whitmer spent to much time getting to his feet and took a brutal Boma Ye from Moxley to end the bout.
ULTIMATE X QUALIFYING MATCH
El Generico def. “Notorious 187” Homicide
Last week Homicide took a brutal goreing from Rhino, and his ribs were taped up from it, but he still agreed to this match and still put up a great fight but Generico was obviously a lot more healthy and was able to win the match with a BRAINBUSTAAA!!
ULTIMATE X QUALIFYING MATCH
Paul London def. Jimmy “Rockstar” Rave
London and Rave put on a really great match, with Rave looking fantastic in this match and putting on a great fight against London. The storytelling in this match was great and you could tell that London was having a lot of fun working against Rave which translated to some great spots, with London finishing Rave off with the London Calling to be the 4th and final member of the Ultimate X match! After the match London offered a handshake but Rave ended up spitting in the face of London and following up with a brutal superkick!
FREE FIGHT
“The Mossy Oak Maniac” Drake Younger def. “Crazy Munky” Jun Kasai
This was what the rabid philadelphia fans went wild for as Younger and Kasai spilled buckets of blood in this war, there wasn’t anything really on the line but bragging rights but these two guys took the match very seriously and took each other to the absolute limits! Kasai sensing he needed to change things up went out of the ring and started pulling an obscene amount of light tubes from under the ring, and soon the match became a deathmatch playground as both men carved each other with shards of glass, Drake was able to hit Drakes Landing on Kasai shattering a stack of light tubes in the process to score a bloody ultraviolent victory!
NWA EAST COAST TITLE MATCH
Rhino© w/ Don Callis def. Takeshi Morishima
On paper this match looked like it could be a knock down drag out war, with Rhino slobbering and snorting like the beast he’s taken his name after as Morishima came into this match looking to be ready to battle the man beast. The stare down in the middle of the ring was intense and both men got nose to nose building the tension for the match, but when the bell rang Rhino simply put both his index fingers on the chest of Morishima who crashed to the canvas like a redwood. Rhino went for the cover and was declared the winner within seconds. The whole thing was a set up and now Rhino and Morishima are standing in the middle of the ring smiling as Don Callis gets in the ring with a mic.
Don Callis: I told you Smith, you’re going to lose control of this company! I have nearly 600lbs. worth of destruction in the ring with me and there isn’t anyone anywhere in the world that’s going to stand toe to toe with my monsters. This is the beginning of the end of your reign as the owner of NWA East Coast![/i]
