DARK MATCH
Vin Gerard def. “Lucky” Thurteen
This match had two very talented young high fliers in it, Gerard didn’t look happy that he was in the very first match of the night, not even getting on the television broadcast. Thurteen pulled out some innovative offense but Gerard cut corners every chance he could, targetting the knee of Thurteen before slapping on the STF forcing Thurteen to submit.
Vin Gerard grabbed a mic after his victory and introduced himself arrogantly to the crowd and let them know that next time he steps into this ring it won’t be in any stinking dark match! NWA East Coast is on notice that Vin Gerard has arrived and he plans on taking the entire Alliance by storm!
DARK MATCH
Eddie Kingston def. “Chainsaw” Joe Gacy
Gacy put on a good match but this was about getting Kingston over, the match was hard hitting and had come nice wrestling counters but in the end Gacy fell victim to the spining backfist!
Joey Mathews and Joel Gertner were standing by in the announce area welcoming the tv audience to the second episode of NWA East Coast on FOX! Tonight’s main event is a preview into X as El Generico & Mistico take on Paul London & Alex Koslov! Last week a war broke lose as Jon Moxley decided to challenge Bryan Danielson who’s been choking his opponents so much that he’s been DQ’d from almost every match he’s had in NWA East Coast! Also what are the reprecussions going to be after Drake Younger and CM Punk beat Rhino and Takeshi Morshima?! But first we head to the ring for our opening contest…
TAG TEAM MATCH
SoCal Speed(Kaz & TJ Perkins)w/ Elwood Gately def. Up in Smoke(Cheech & Cloudy)
This was a lightning fast opening contest between two great tag teams. SoCal Speed had a hard time putting away Up in Smoke but in the end Kaz nailed Cheech with the Fade to Black! Josh Mathews announced after the commercial break that SoCal Speed will face the Rockstars of Wrestling at X!
THREE WAY DANCE
Brian Kendrick def. Samuray del Sol & “Greek God” Papadon
These three men wanted to make a statement as they really worked the crowd into a frenzy with some great exchanges, Papadon was the first guy eliminated when Kendrick hit him with sliced bread #2 and Samuray del Sol followed up with a moonsault! That left it to Kendrick and Sol and they put on a wild exchange of counters and moves that got the crowd chanting “This is Awesome!” but the match had to come to an end as Kendrick hit sliced bread on Sol for a hard fought win.
Scotty Vortekz came out to introduce himself to the crowd, coming into NWA East Coast as a face and making an idle claim like some people do about becoming an eventual NWA East Coast champion, Rhino being sour from his lose last week took exception and came out flanked by the entire network; Don Callis, Takeshi Morshima, Don Callis’s bodyguard Eli Cottonwood, and Callis’s assistant Seven Richards! The 175lbs. Vortekz looked a bit concerned as the network surrounded the ring as Rhino climbed in with the new comer! Callis ordered a ref into the ring…
NWA EAST COAST TITLE MATCH
“The Big F’N Deal” Rhino© w/ The Network def. Scotty Vortekz
This match was complete bullshit, Vortekz wasn’t even in his gear, Rhino and the Network were just pissed and were looking to take it out on someone! Rhino outweighed Scotty by 100lbs. but Vortekz tried his damndest, ducking a few wild swings by Rhino and came with a fight that had the East Coast champion reeling as he didn’t expect the fight that Vortekz put up! Scotty got a pop from the crowd when he hit his lightning spiral on Rhino but only got a two count, that two count pissed off the champ who turned it up a notch and beat the hell out of Vortekz nearly tearing him in half with a brutal gore!
After the successful defense the entire network swarmed Vortekz to
“make an example”, but the place erupted as Drake Younger came out with a pair of light tubes coming through the crowd! The Network stopped in their tracks, when Younger got on the outside of the ring he was met by Richards who took a kick to the gut and a light tube to the back! Younger had a second light tube and the rest of the network scattered as Younger checked on the injured Vortekz as the show went to commercial break!
TAG TEAM MATCH
El Generico & Mistico def. Alex Koslov & Paul London
Mistico was pretty frustrated with El Generico, somehow they had some communication issues?! While London and Koslov just seemed to not like each other. Josh Mathews told the audience that Don Callis is putting together a match between Rhino & Takeshi Morshima against Drake Younger & Scotty Vortekz at X! This match was pretty intense with Koslov ignoring London on the apron, when London finally got frustrated and blind tagged himself in Koslov ended up walking out on him. London tried to yell for Koslov to come back, but ended up taking his eyes off his opponent as Generico spun him around and nailed the brainbusta! After the match Mistico attacked Generico as Koslov ran back to join the fray as the Mathews hyped X one more time before the show faded out.
