DARK MATCH
Super Dragon def. Super Calo
The crowd gave Super Calo a huge ovation, which was more of a mocking than anything since he hasn’t been really seen in the states since his days in WCW! Super Dragon didn’t find anything funny about having to work against Calo and he dominated the hip hop luchadore nailing him with a psycho driver to finish him off. The crowd chanted “Super Calo” through the entire match, and “You’ve still got it!” after he was helped to his feet by the ref when the match ended.
DARK MATCH
Bandido Jr. def. “Greek God” Papadon
This match was a lot more competitive as both guys were hungry to make their mark and get some television time down the line, they exchanged counters and helped one another look good but in the end someone had to win, and Papadon got planted with the cradle driver from Bandido Jr. after a great match.
The show opened with some audio and still photos of the highlights from X, and ended with the shocking revelation that CM Punk had joined the network! After the montage, the Network came out led by Punk who looked daper on his suit holding the NWA World title, when he got in the ring he was handed a mic to explain his motives for turning on Drake Younger and Scotty Vortekz. Punk let the fans know that Don Callis gave him offers he couldn’t refuse, such as his face on every DVD cover, hell Callis gave him Steven Richards to be his personal assitant and Richards is even carrying around a firggin Ipad to keep Punks twitter and facebook pages updated! He’s also got a 7’ body guard in Eli Cottonwood, plus if he ever needs a tag team partner he’s got the choice of either Takeshi Morishima or the NWA East Coast champion Rhino! Yeah it’s good to be the champ, and tonight’s show is going to be great! Punk won’t be wrestling because these ungrateful South Philly fans don’t deserve to see a title match since they were so behind Vortekz and Younger who are both banned from the building tonight so they won’t be around to cause any problems for the network! Punk handed off the mic to Don Callis who held the mic for the NWA East Coast champion Rhino, who had some extremely harsh words for Alberto del Rio that had the sound crew scrambling to bleep out all the profanity! The general idea of the promo was to let ADR know that for awhile now Rhino’s had to play by the rules, but here in NWA East Coast the chains are off and he’s allowed to tear apart anyone he wants now, and if ADR has the balls to come to South Philly to face a real NWA champion, he can step in the ring and Rhino will rip him a new asshole with a GORE!!
TAG TEAM MATCH
SoCal Speed(Kaz & TJ Perkins) w/ Elwood Gately vs. Up in Smoke(Cheech & Cloudy)
This match never got underway as Burchill and Dylan Klien came out instead of SoCal Speed, Up in Smoke tried to put up a fight but Burchill snapped off a C4 on Cloudy while Klein nailed Cheech with the Stunna!
Klein got on a mic and let the South Philly crowd know just exactly how he felt, the tag team scene in NWA East Coast is a complete joke. There’s 3 singles titles, and no tag team titles! How’s a team like Burchill & Klein supposed to make an impact when NWA East Coast doesn’t have the hardware to show off their greatness, Klein issues a challenge to FutureShock, the NWA World Tag Team Champions, at NWA East vs. West Burchill & Klein want a title shot!
NWA EAST COAST TELEVISION TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH
“American Dragon” Bryan Danielson def. “Valhalla’s Favorite Son” Brandon Bonham
This match was awesome, Bonham got a lot of great offense in against Danielson as he tried for the upset. Bonham would strike quickly, then keep his distance from the master technician in Danielson. Bonham thought he had the win as he came sailing off the top with the Bonton Bomb but Danielson got his knees up and immediately slapped on the crossface chickenwing forcing Bonham to submit.
Vin Gerard was determined to make the best of his spot on the card, coupled witht he chance of advancing in the TV title tournament. His dreams were dashed quickly as Don Callis came out announcing that his opponent is Network approved, Takeshi Moshimia! This was an obvious mismatch in the Networks favor as Takeshi outweighs Gerard by over 120lbs.
NWA EAST COAST TELEVISION TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH
Takeshi Morshimia w/ Don Callis def. Vin Gerard
Gerard tried to suicide dive onto Takeshi before the monster could get into the ring, but Takeshi was able to catch him in the air and drive him spine first into the ring post! Takeshi continued to beat the hell out of Gerard finally showing some mercy and ending it with a brutal lariat that nearly turned Gerard inside out!
NWA EAST COAST X TITLE MATCH
Paul London© def. “The Soviet Shooter” Alex Koslov
This was a match between the two men who were closest to winning the X title at the X iPPV. London was the one who was able to secure the title, while Koslov came within inches of capturing the title. Koslov has the tools to become a future X division champion and he tried like hell to wrestle the title from London on this night, trying for his soviet stretch but London was able to get a rope break continuing the match. London tried a few times for the waffle face but Koslov was able to roll one up into a pin attempt and another into a sloppy but effective arm drag, the match continued with both men putting it all on the line but in the end London was able to hit London Calling on Koslov to retain his title!
After the match Josh Mathews and Regal were confused as London was having a verbal exchange at ringside, once the camera men got into positon it was revealed that John Morrison was in the first row, and tried to hop the security rail, but security was able to stop Morrison from getting to London as both men continued to exchange words as the show went off the air.
