The show opened up with Dean Malenko coming out and greeting the fans. He said tonight 8 men would start on a quest for an opportunity to face the CPW Champion in the coming weeks. Only 1 man would get that title shot, but they all had an equal shot. In addition to that 4 teams would get an opportunity to become the number one contenders in a Fatal Four Way match! He went on to say that also tonight there was GUARANTEED to be at least one new champion, as the Television Champion, Antonio Banks, had not made it to the arena, and as such, the number one contender, Bob Holly would face the number two contender, Eddie Vegas, for the championship!

: NWA United States Heavyweight Championship Match - 2 out of 3 Falls :

win the NWA United States Heavyweight Title
x Chris Masters beat Lex Luger via pinfall in 06:21
x Lex Luger beat Chris Masters via pinfall in 06:30
x Luger beat Chris Masters via the Torture Rack in 08:50
* In the opening minutes of the match they "played around" and then it happened... The Finger Poke of Doom! Masters poked Luger and Luger sold it like he had been shot in the chest with a 50 caliber cannon! Masters made the cover and scored the first fall. The ref helped Luger back up to his feet and ordered the match to continue. Luger pated Masters on the head and Masters dropped like a sack of potatoes. Luger covered with one foot (Masters smiling the whole time!) and scored the second fall. Now for the third fall, they went back and forth who would take that one. Luger felt that Masters should as he is the man to lead the NWA. Masters felt that he should get the fall, as he is younger and has more to offer the NWA. In the end it came to blows and Luger hit a running forearm (yes, he still has that steel plate) and hooked Master in the Torture Rack! When the match was over, Luger grabbed the belt and ran to the back. Master winced in pain and vowed retribution for being double crossed!

* The best match of the night was the Main Event! Kash pushed the new NWA World Champion to the limit! Unfortunately for him, he fell victim to the Champions finisher a second time and could not kick out.
