The last clip was of Alberto Del Rio retaining his CPW Championship over Rey Mysterio.
King of the Ring Qualifying Tag Team Match : Kyle Matthews and Bobby Fish defeated Damien Sandow and Colt Cabana when Kyle Matthews pinned Damien Sandow with the Slurpee Kick in 13:11.
- A good match between KotR entrants from Great Lakes Wrestling and Hybrid Pro Wrestling.
- Neither team had a clear advantage in the onset, but as the match got going, Bobby Fish and Kyle Matthews worked as the better team.
- Colt had the fans standing as it looked like he was about to get the win on Kyle, when Sandow tagged himself in, then dropped Colt from the apron with a back elbow shot to the face!
- Kyle made the tag and Fish went crazy and cleaned Sandow's clock with the 'Sleep's with The Fishes!
- Fish tagged Kyle back in and he hit his Slurpee Kick for the 3 count as the fans gave all four men a standing ovation for their enthusiasm and work in the ring.
King of the Ring Qualifying Match : Alex Riley and Jack Swagger battled to a double count out in 05:22.
- As soon as Alex was announced for the match, the fans basically gave up.
- To their surprise, Riley came out looking in pretty good shape.
- Alex wrestled Swagger a good mat based game, until Swagger took over.
- Jack had Alex confused for a moment or two and so he took a breather, with Swagger rolling to the outside as well.
- From there, Alex was all business. He was able to get Swagger over confident to the point that Swagger charged at Riley, who moved and went crashing into the ring post.
- Alex targeted Swagger's shoulder, and neither man heard the bell ring, until it was too late.
- At that point, Alex leveled Jack with the ring bell and left him laying on the arena floor.
- The fans were booing Riley, but also the fact that they weren't sure what had just happened.
King of the Ring Qualifying Match : Adam Pearce pinned Kurt Angle after a spinebuster slam in 09:26 after Cliff Compton
interfered against Kurt Angle.
- Adam Pearce was rather riled up over his loss to Jim Powers and looked to take it out on Angle. Angle was upset at his loss to Caprice Coleman, so he was looking to get a win.
- This match went back and forth for a few minutes with both men trading hold, and trying to show the other up, one move at a time.
- It was nearly 8 minutes into the match when the lights started to flicker, and confetti flowed from the arena ceiling as 'Mr. Media' Cliff Compton made his debut!
- Angle was hardly distracted, other than the lighting issues, and paid no attention to the new star as he made his way to the ring.
- Cliff Compton took the mic and told Angle to 'Bow Down to the new king of Media'! Angle gave him the one finger salute!
- As Angel looked to go to the top rope, Compton blasted him with a chair as the ref was distracted by Pearce!
- Adam then nailed a ring shaking spine buster Slam for the win!
- After the match was over, Cliff and Adam beat down Kurt for a few moments until Jack Swagger made the save!
Interview with Alberto Del Rio : He came out, taped up from his recent wars across the NWA. He said that Rhino got lucky.. plain and simple. He said at the Great American Bash, he was less than 100 percent, and that the NWA had offered to give him the night off, but that he is a fighting champion, so he told the NWA that only "testiculs de pollo" would back down from a fight. He gave credit to Punk... He went after the weakest link in the match in Daniel Puder. Had Punk tried to go toe to toe, one on one with 'The Great One' (ADR smiled), he would have learned that anything more than dean and ADR is a threat to ANY champion in the NWA! ADR said sooner or later, he will be the NWA World Champion, and there is nothing... NOTHING that CM Punk can do about it.... except tap out!
One on One Match : Shelton Benjamin pinned Randy Orton with the T-Bone in 07:10.
- The match went back and forth. Orton tried to keep it at a slower pace, and for his trouble, Benjamin just lit him up with his mat skills.
- However, when Benjamin tried to take to the air with some high risks, Orton was able to keep him grounded.
- Both men were able to hit impressive moves that shook the ring and the opponent, such as Benjamin trying a superplex, and Orton countering into a RKO, but only for a two count!
- Orton then tried to go for his Punt, and Benjamin moved and nearly scored a three count on a school boy roll up!
- The End came when Orton was able to barley catch Benjamin with a RKO and then the intro for The Miz hit! Orton was immediately distracted.
- Benjamin hit the T-Bone for the win off the distraction, yet the Miz never appeared!
- As Benjamin was 'celebrating' his win, Randy nailed the RKO on Benjamin, then took the mic and challenged The Miz at King of the Ring to a Falls Count Anywhere Match
Non- Title Triangle Match : Evan Sydal defeated Ricochet and Rey Mysterio when Evan Sydal pinned Rey Mysterio after a moonsault in 12:25.
- This was non stop action from the get go!
- If either Sydal or Mysterio could get the win, they would receive a title match at King of the Ring. If Ricochet got the win, he could pick any opponent for King of the Ring.
- All three men hit their high spots to the delight of the fans in attendance.
- Ricochet nearly secured the win at the 10 minute mark until Rey came off the top with a Swonton bomb to break up the count and then threw Ricochet from the ring.
- Rey then had Evan set up for the 619 and missed it as Evan moved and snapped Rey's neck over the top top, followed by a Brain Buster.
- Evan then hit a moonsault to earn the title match at King of the Ring!
King of the Ring Qualifying Match : Burchill pinned Chris Jericho with the Dangerous Buster in 10:13.
- Burchill was aggressive in this match. Jericho was confident, yet slightly reserved.
- Burchill started out ambushing Jericho as he entered the ring, knowing full well that if Jericho was able to dictate the match, it was all over for his chance to gain traction into the King of the Ring.
- Burchill was the bigger of the two and used that to his advantage to work over Jericho into the corner and rocked him with HUGE European uppercuts!
- Jericho was able to turn the tide with a thumb to the eye, then vicious chops to the chest that lit up Burchill in a hurry.
- Both men exchanged control of the match a few times.
- Jericho went for the Code Breaker, but Burchill was too close to the ropes and held on, sending Jericho crashing to the mat. Burchill then hit Jericho with the Dangerous Buster for the win!
- After the match, Jericho offered Burchill a handshake and looked to pull a double cross, but Jericho instead raised the hand of Burchill.
CPW Heavyweight Championship Match : Alberto Del Rio (c) made The Miz submit to the Cross Arm breaker in 19:15 to retain the CPW Heavyweight Title following interference by Randy Orton.
- The Miz came out first and had a look of determination on his face. Alberto Del Rio came out, and was still sore from his battles just days before at East vs West and the Great American Bash, as well as from his recent match with Rey.
- The Miz started out fast and furious, targeting the sore ribs that Rhino had softened up.
- Del Rio battled back with some underhanded tactics.
- The ref took a spill late in the match and Randy Orton sprinted to the ring and started laying into The Miz with lefts and rights!
- As Del Rio was recovering, Orton blasted The Miz with the RKO, allowing Del Rio to make the cover to retain!
- As the show went off the air, Orton told The Miz to be ready... at King of the Ring, it would all come to a head!
(sorry it is late. I have a few more to do then KotR... I am hoping that by Monday or so it should all be done.)
