The show opens with NWA East Coast owner Dustin Smith sitting in his office in his suit behind his oak desk. Smith announced that due to the damage done to the eye of Kussion he won’t be in the main event tonight, but he’ll be replaced by a very special guest.
Bonham and Generico really put on an exciting opening contest with their high flying high octane offenses. The match was pretty even but Prince Nana didn’t like how close it was as he tried to climb into the ring. It was really a distraction as UHAA Nation climbed into the ring nailing Generico with a press slam followed up by a standing shooting star press. Bonham seemed apprehensive about taking such a cheap win but UHAA Nation intimidated him into covering Generico.
This was a really fun tag team match with DDR dancing and having a great time tricking and taking advantage over the overly aggressive Batiri. But in the end Kodama spit green mist into the eyes of shockwave shorting out his optical drive or something. Obariyon followed up with a high kick to the back of Shockwaves skull giving his team the victory.
These two guys have a ton of history and the match showed as they put on an absolute battle. Callihan ended up getting into a bad situation after about the 9 minute mark, and Moxley started to stalk him from the corner. The crowd erupted as someone in street clothes and a ball cap slides into the ring catching Moxley off guard snapping off a diamond cutter! The mystery man whipped off his ball cap to reveal that it’s CPW’s own Ken Anderson!
The ref awarded Moxley the win due to the DQ as Anderson got in the face of Moxley talking all kinds of smack. NWA East Coast owner, Dustin Smith came out on the ramp announcing that Moxley’s opponent at Summer Series will in fact be Ken Anderson!
SoCal speed continues to rise to the top of the NWA East Coast tag team ranks taking on a very tough challenge. Ryan and Anderson were vicious with a grinding offense, but SoCal Speed were able to win the match after Kaz snapped off the flatliner.
The crowd got pretty excited when Bryan Danielson’s partner for the evening turned out to be none other than the legendary Masato Tanaka who used to have wild battles with Mike Awesome right here in south philly. Kussion sat at ringside having a lot at stake for this bout. The match was back and forth with Punk using Danny Havoc as a weapon. Havoc has a wild unorthodox offense and he tried to attack the ears, eyes and any other soft tissue area on Danielson. The American Dragon tagged out to Tanaka who came out of the corner with his hard hitting offense that rocked Havoc. Punk eventually got tagged in and he avoided the knock out shots from Tanaka as much as possible but eventually got tagged and dazed by a strong forearm shot. While this is going on, Havoc started picking a fight with Kussion from the apron. Which resulted in a fight erupting between Kussion and Havoc that spilled into the ring as Danielson and Punk paired off. Havoc again tried to finish the job on the eye of Kussion but this time Masato Tanaka came from off screen blasting Havoc with a roaring elbow from hell that rolled Havoc’s eyes into the back of his had with a knock out blow. A furious Tanaka stood over Havoc as the show faded to black.
