OOC: Sorry this is about 90 days late, but it is finally here for your enjoyment!
This was a pretty good match, one that could have wound up on the main show, but Darkstar decided to book this one as a teaser to get the fans into the spectacle that is Parade of Champions.
Judge and Vessey didn’t disappoint, either. They took it to one other early and often, but in the end, Archie Judge nailed his Drawn and Quartered finisher in 7:48 to win this one. The fans were a little disappointed with the match being so short.
Match Rating: 14 (out of 100)
*show opens with a panoramic view of the Dallas County Convention Center, which from all appearances, is sold out. The view shift to the announce table, and the team of Kurt Berkely and Shane Sneer.*
Kurt Berkely: Good evening, wrestling fans, and this is..PARADE….OF….CHAMPIONS!!! *crowd goes absolutely nuts* We are LIVE from the Dallas Convention Center Arena for the 30th Annual Parade of Champions. And we have one hell of a show planned, right Shane?
Shane Sneer: Sure do, Kurt. Here’s the lineup:
First off, we have the team of Master and Apprentice taking on the team of the Border Runners.
Rampage takes on the veteran Lone Star Stampeder. Can the rookie pull off an upset or will Stampy prevail?
Professor Nero’s protégé, TimberWolf, takes on Johnny Boy Tucker in what looks to be an exciting matchup.
Professor Nero himself takes on his old nemesis, Chief Two Eagles, in what appears to be one for the ages.
The Texas Outlaws defend the TWL Tag Team Titles against Professor Nero’s protégés, the Lords of War. Can the Lords pull of a major upset, or will the Outlaws ride off into the sunset with the belts?
And, in the Main Event; Floyd Bowman takes on the TWL Heavyweight Champion, Rip Chord, for the belt. This one looks to be an instant classic, folks! And, without further ado, we head down to ringside for the first match!
This one turned into a brawl straight away as the Border Runners tried to take it to Krogan and Tucker at the opening bell, but Krogan and Tucker promptly threw them out of the ring and followed them outside, while the referee began his 10-count. Krogan slammed Pavel Landis into the railing, and then tossed him into ring, following him quickly, while Tucker and Montero brawled on the outside. Krogan made a signal to Tucker, who quickly climbed back into the ring as Krogan whipped Landis into the ropes. When he bounced back out, Krogan and Tucker nailed him with a crushing Double Lariat for the win!
Match Rating: 65%
This was a pretty good match, but it tended to drag in the middle, due to Rampage’s relative inexperience. Stampeder, however, did his best to keep things going, so it didn’t turn out too bad. The end came at 12:56 when Stampeder nailed Rampage with the Texas Tumble, a modified Oklahoma Stampede.
Match Rating: 49%
Tucker was still recovering from the tag team match he was in earlier, while TimberWolf was relatively fresh. Tucker, however, took it to him, even gaining the upper hand at one point. Tucker suddenly nailed TimberWolf with a Lariat out of nowhere for the quick pin!
Match Rating: 51%
This match turned into one for the ages, as Nero and Two Eagles obviously have some history. TimberWolf came to ringside, still smarting from the Lariat he got in his match with Tucker earlier. That didn’t prevent him from tripping up Two Eagles when the referee wasn’t looking. Someone else spotted it, though, because a mysterious facepainted individual came to ringside and chased TimberWolf from ringside. That little distraction was all Nero needed to hit the spinning DDT he calls the Descent Into Madness for the win.
Match Rating: 73%
This one was a real war! Under the Texas Tornado rules, the match wasn’t over until one team or the other was completely eliminated! Green and Agony started this one off, but it very quickly turned into a brawl! Green and TPK wound up tossing Agony out of the ring, eliminating him at 26:32, and Pain soon followed him at 26:56. The Texas Outlaws celebrated in the middle of the ring while the Lords of War headed back to the locker room, casting evil glares back at the Outlaws.
Match Rating: 67%
Winners of the match by elimination, and still TWL Tag Team Champions: THE TEXAS OUTLAWS!!!
This was an all-out war! Both men knew what was at stake, and held nothing back! Chord brought his considerable technical wrestling experience to the fore, while Bowman just plain flat out brawled! The end came when Rip Chord finally made Bowman submit to the Figure Four in 33:26. The both of them received a standing ovation for one hell of a match!
Match Rating: 82%
Winner of the match and still TWL Heavyweight Champion: RIP CHORD!
Overall Rating: 70% (Complete Sell-out!)
