Interesting stuff here, always loved the idea of doing a dream match type promotion with a roster of all stars from all different time periods. Will definitely give the full show a read when its up (and when I come back I might even do something similar).

Well, thanks man, and maybe we can work something together based on this sort of premise if you are interested, as it has been interesting me a lot lately. It just opens up the possibilities so much more, and gives me an opportunity to work with guys I never have had the chance to work with. And there's so many guys not even here, it's crazy. It's starting as dream type matches now, but it'll eventually be evolving into just a normal type promotion that just so happens to have some big names, but I don't really want it to come off gimmicky or anything. I just want to be explore further creative avenues and not be so stifled, as this is fantasy wrestling, after all. I want to see what I can do, and hopefully you like it. So yeah, I'm looking forward to writing for this project, and I look forward to your return and whatever you've got up your sleeve next.

Yeah, I'd be down with that for sure. TBH this is something I've wanted to see in this world for a long time, for me as much as realism is an important part of this game, it is as you say fantasy and some flexibility to do something like this can only lead to fun creative shows and ideas.
Personally I could go the dream match route, as there are so many wrestlers I'd love to see work together from different time periods and so forth, though I may even go a slightly different path and do like a wrestlecrap type promotion with wacky gimmicks from throughout wrestling history, Vince Russo style booking and lots of gimmick matches. There's a lot you can do by removing some of the limitations of the game.

See, the concept isn't even so appealing to me as far as dream matches as much as I just watched a lot more wrestling in earlier eras, so those are guys I just want to work with more. Even if they are indie guys or ECW midcard type guys from the early 00's, I don't care, that was like a heyday for me, so I'd love to work with some guys again that I haven't been able to in a long time. This that I'm working on now just kind of came from a pure standpoint of, "Okay, if I had an huge check book and a time machine, what roster would I make with a 40 man limit?" Things sort of just took shape from there in my mind, and I've begun writing this show and it's been a lot of fun. But yeah, to your point, yes, I agree, but not everybody agrees, and while I've gone other places and done this kind of writing, I still felt maybe even the way they were limiting things wasn't quite for me, so I made this particular section just as a catch all place to let loose and see if we can't come up with something cool. I'm glad there is at least one kindred spirit, and I hope you enjoy both what I do and whatever you might do in the future, as I know I will.

Thanks, man, I'll be trying to get some more work in on this show tonight. I want it to be a little more "high production", so it's taken a minute to piece it together. Thanks for the support, though, guys.

Great to see the formula put to good use. Whether it's "Intense" or "Eternal" the end result is the same. It's just good chemistry all around. Here's my slight critique though, and it goes with your question of the mindstate dealing with multiple eras - by purpose I try to stay away from *encounters that previously occurred*. In a purely fantasy setting, I expect to see/read match-ups that never actually happened. In this case here, Mickie/Trish & Eddie/Dean (maybe a lil Sting/Hart too) stick out as glaring contradictions to that theory. That being said, ADR vs Samoa Joe is my personal fave, and with Del Rio putting in work with ROH recently I can totally see this being a kick ass classic. Keep on mashin.
peace,
MSD

Well, I've never gotten to write my take on how those conflicts should go, and I think it is best to get those out of the way in the first round. I've been really busy, and planned to have this show out already, but I'm going to get some work in on it now and hopefully have it out this afternoon. Thanks for the interest, guys!
