"Windy City On Tour" #21 - Kenosha, Wisconsin (03/09/14)
~Windy City kicked off their 10 date September tour of 'Chicagoland' tonight with a show in Kenosha that see's the grapple group hold a show in the State of Wisconsin for the very first time. The tour which will comprise of stops throughout the Chicago tri-state area to include shows in Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana will see each live event taped for TV, but only select matches (marked in blue font) will have highlights shown on the weekly local Syndicated TV wrap-up show "Windy City On Tour".
Full run-down from the full Live Event card...
*The Chief of Staff Triple H came out and welcomed the Wisconsin fans to Windy City Pro Wrestling! Trips told the fans that Mark Jindrak stunned Chris Masters on the last Fight Night by sneaking in under stealth and interfering in his NWA World Title match against Samoa Joe. Well, tonight Chris Masters has demanded to get his hands on Jindrak and get's his wish in a tag team bout as Masters and Kris Travis will team up against Jindrak and someone Kris Travis has grown to know very well...the man he will face in a Loser Leaves Town Match @ Fight Night....Jack Swagger!
1. Kofi Kingston def. Carlito with the Trouble in Paradise in a crowd pleasing 10 minute opener.
2. Gaydar ("Rock Hard" Dick Ryder & Jeffery "Ohhh-La-La" Flockhart) w/Jimmy Hart bested The Phoenix Twins (Dash & Tweek) in a surprisingly competitive match between the Tag Team Champions and the newcomers. Dick Ryder was a little upset that Jimmy Hart didn't get too involved in the match missing several spots where he could have helped them as he was distracted and post-match Dick forced and demanded... that Jimmy Hart get down on all fours and take his out-turned trouser-pocket in his mouth in a symbolic gesture. Flockhart looked a little put out and jealous by this as he's the one who usually gets the pocket treatment!
*Note: The match was scheduled to be one of the matches selected for TV showings, but The Powers That Be thought the ending was a little too risque for TV! The card opener between Kofi and Carlito was picked instead.
3. NWA World Jnr Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan defeated Sean Waltman with a Knee Plus in a non-title match in an around 8 minute match. After the bout Waltman told Bryan that tonight is not the last he will see of him on this tour, so he'd better get his rest because Waltman is going to coming and keep on coming like he's 21 again!
~Kevin Steen caqme out first and said that he is fat and ugly, and because of that doesn't care what anybody thinks. *Huge pop* Steen says that tonight he WILL have a tag partner against Bully Ray and Puder although he promises @ Fight Night he will go it alone because he has balls of steen! But Steen says his tag partner tonight might not be a big fans choice but he's here tonight and was willing to fight, and his name is John Cena!
The crowd boo'd this one heavy as Cena came out - Cena isn't a favorite in the Chicagoland regions! Cena took to the mike and said the fans are welcome to their opinions, but he will work hard to turn that around. Tonight he will team up with Mr. Balls of Steel and will show the Chicagoland fans that he too has balls of similar consistencies!
4. Bully Ray & Daniel Puder beat Kevin Steen & John Cena by DQ. ~This was a wild fight with lots of brawling both outside and inside the ring. The DQ was caused by Cena going mental with a chair which ended up with him lacing one right on Bully Ray's noggin with a real hard shot. Steen and Cena weren't too fussed about the result here, Steen just wanted some payback and Cena just wanted to show he's ready and willing to fight.
5. Kung Fu Manchu (Louis Lyndon & Marion Fontaine) downed The Little Hitlers {Crash Test Dummy & Rockstar Spud) in a filler comedy match when Louis Lyndon pinned Crash Test Dummy following a CRANE~KICK after both Lyndon and Crash had a "Crane-Off" to see who could crane kick the highest Daniel-san style. Lyndon did an impressive Crane Kick but Dummy sold pulling his hamstring when it was his turn and he quickly fell to another quickly delivered CRANE-KICK as Kung Fu Manchu win in their debut.
6. Jack Swagger & Mark Jindrak downed Kris Travis & Chris Masters when Jindrak pinned Travis with a school-boy roll-up and his feet on the ropes in the 15 minute main-event! Travis put forth a great display but was totally zero'd in on Swagger and Jindrak took advantage like the crafty NWA North American Champion he is and stole one here tonight.

Love the tour idea and good show that helps build towards the remainder of the tour. I would love to see someone turn Cena around as I know there have been a ton of opportunities and some guys have moved the needle a little bit but nothing seems to have stuck. I like the Gaydar thing as I stated before but here's hoping they don't become a "live only" type deal. Great work with Travis too.

Considering how much of this roster is new, you did a good job at working them in pretty seamlessly.
Agree on Cena. Things are looking up here as you have a roster full of fresh opponents vs what WWE has done 100 times over. You have enough heels that I'm glad you went the face route with basically the same WWE character. A full out feud with a Bully Ray could give some pretty nice results.
Bryan and Waltman was a nice surprise. They seem like the potential exists for a pretty good match as the post match promo would seem to hint.
Looking forward to the rest of the dates.

"Windy City On Tour" #22 - Genoa City, Wisconsin (06/09/14)
~Windy City's second stop on their 10 date September tour of 'Chicagoland' tonight carried on the Wisconsin leg of the tour with a stop in Genoa City.
As always, each live event is taped for TV and/or DVD releases, but only select matches (marked in blue font) will have match highlights shown on the promotions weekly local Syndicated TV wrap-up show "Windy City On Tour".
Full run-down from the full Live Event card...
Triple H came out and was about to make an announcement about tonight's main-event when he was interupted by April David. April told Hunter not to be too hasty with his plans for tonight and to listen to what she has to say. April said that she knows that she will get her chance to have Paige all to herself LIVE ON TV at Fight Night on the 24th and in a Steel Cage too with nowhere for Paige to run away. David's though said she's a very impatient gal and she can't wait until the 24th! She's dressed to compete tonight and wants Paige in the main-event, even if it's a non-title match!
Hunter said he likes people who make opportunity for themselves, and said why not, the women of Windy City deserve a showcase and a chance to shine in the bright lights of the main-event and tonight we will see April David's take on Womens Champion Paige in a non-title match!
1. The card kicked off with a good one as NWA World Jnr Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan defeated Sean Waltman again, with the Yes Lock in a quick paced 10 minute affair. Sean tapped out quickly once he found himself in the Yes Lock wanting to avoid any lasting damage with this being a non-title bout and left the ring almost right away motioning to Daniel that he would be back again. Waltman who has vowed to dog Bryan throughout the Chicagoland tour demonstrated that he can keep up and match Bryan tonight and this writer cannot wait to see what they can produce in a longer match!
*Backstage, So Cal Val introduces the recent new big signing to NWA Windy City, KENTA! A few of the talents watch on from the background knowing the reputation of this man and wanting a first hand look, as KENTA does a brief to the point promo in English...to announce and hype his in-ring debut on Fight Night! KENTA says he doesn't care who he faces at Fight Night, hero or villian, whoever it is it doesn't matter because he's a killer who loves to systematically destroy his opponents, he doesn't discriminate!
2. Rey Mysterio bested Marion Fontaine in a match where he seemingly had no time for Fontaine's theratrics and was very focused on the matter in hand not going with Fontaine with any babyface vs babyface crowd fun spots. The finish saw Mysterio set up Fontaine for the 619, he paused before hitting it, as if he'd just had an idea....and then instead of hitting the move, picked up Fontaine off the ropes and got the three count with a tightly packed roll-up.
3. The Irish Airborne (Dave & Jake Crist) & Shane Hollister def. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) & John Cena in what was a solid, hard-hitting brawl when with the ref distracted as The Uso's and Irish Airborne brawled - Bully Ray ran in and interfered smashing John Cena over the head with what looked like the same steel chair that Cena had nailed him with in Kenosha! As Bully Ray left ring and walked back up the asile holding afloat the dented chair, Shane Hollister scooped up Cena and busted out his Shug's Last Gift, small package driver, to gain the three count over Cena!
4. Bray Wyatt w/Luke Harper defended the Cyber TV Championship with a win over Kofi Kingston hitting Sister Abigail after Rey Mysterio turned up to watch the match, scouting the man he has challenged to a hair vs mask match, a challenge which hasn't been accepted yet. Kofi looked a bit distracted with Rey's presence as it looks like to me that he doesn't want to face his good friend Mysterio in such a serious match for both men's career. Bray Wyatt won the match clean over a distracted Kofi and Rey walked away after the match leaving Kofi on his own in the ring once Wyatt had left. Kofi got on the mike and told the fans that he doesn't know why Rey Mysterio has singled him out for this match and that he worries for his friend. Kofi said that he and Mysterio need to talk...and this will happen at Fight Night because he wants to talk to his friend Rey Mysterio one-on-one.
5. April Davids bested NWA Windy City Womens Champion Paige in the main-event non-title match when she somehow wiggled out of the Scorpion Crossface and hit the Firecracker, a Double-Arm Bridged Suplex to garner the pinfall over the Champion after a tremendous back and forth 16 minute match. After she realised she had been beaten, Paige tossed an unaware April who was celebrating with fans on the outside, head first into the steel turnbuckle. Paige cracked a wicked smile as she looked down on April and raised her Womens Title belt in the air as the camera focussed in on April who is sporting a crimson mask, apparently suffering a head injury from the collision!

"Windy City On Tour" TV Show (Magazine Round-Up Show)
~Aired Sunday 7th September
Host: Smart Mark Expert Pundits: Kevin Nash & Roddy Piper
Air Length: 30 Minutes
The first weekly pre-taped episode of NWA Windy City's new televsion show aired recently in the form of a Magazine style round-up show hosted by Smart Mark with comments and analysis coming from the legends Kevin Nash and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.
Kenosha, Wisconsin (03/09/14) 1. Kofi Kingston def. Carlito with the Trouble in Paradise in a crowd pleasing match. *Orginally a 10 minute match, this was cut to 3 minutes of TV time.
~Smart Mark put's over how good Kofi looked against the veteran Carlito in what was a good little match. Piper pipes up that he's wondering just what Rey Mysterio was up too when he challenged Kingston on the last Fight Night to a Hair vs Mask match! Kevin Nash added that why don't they take a look at Kofi's match against the Cyber TV Champion from the live event at Genoa City, Wisconsin and see if anything else transpires with this story!
Genoa City, Wisconsin (06/09/14) 2. *The match was shown in clips, about 2 minutes worth of actual in-ring stuff, with another few minutes focussing on the stuff afterwards with Kofi and Mysterio.
~Back to the studio and Nash says that he understands what it's like to have friends in the business, but he's fought his friends before so he's not sure why Kofi is reluctant to take on Rey. Piper puts accross that he doesn't trust Mysterio and suspects that Kofi is in the mindset of what the hell if going on here, with his friend Mysterio seemingly going off the rails a bit due to frustrations over his age and injuries, and maybe Kofi wants to see if he can help Rey before accepting such an out of the blue challenge*
Genoa City, Wisconsin (06/09/14) 3. *a good 6 minutes of the match is shown on TV with no commercial breaks in this match, as Windy City went out of their way to showcase their female talent.
~Piper goes bannas about the sight of claret in a women's match! He can't believe how tough these girls are. Smart Mark puts over in a big way what a dastardly act Paige performed by busting April David's open on the turnbuckle, before Piper adding that would probably be something he would do, so he can't critise Paige here at all saying it was a good strategy to weaken her challenger ahead of their big Steel Cage Title match at Fight Night.
Genoa City, Wisconsin (06/09/14) *Backstage, So Cal Val introduces the recent new big signing to NWA Windy City, KENTA! *KENTA given TV time here to hype his debut, it's obvious the company has big plans for him!
~Studio time as Smart Mark reminds fans that on the last Fight Night NWA North American Champion Mark Jindrak cost the Windy City Champion Chris Masters the NWA World Heavyweight Title by interfering in his match with Samoa Joe and this tag team match in Kenosha was the first chance that Master's had got to get his hands on Jindrak.
Kenosha, Wisconsin (03/09/14) 4. *7 Minutes TV Time allocated for this clipped-match
~Nash says that he doesn't think Jindrak can keep getting away with stealing wins and keeping out of the reach of Masters for too long. Piper counters by saying Jindrak made a statement on Fight Night and tonight Masters couldn't get anywhere near him. Piper said Jindrak took home the pinfall which is the aim of the game at the end of it all, to win matches and drag home win bonus purses! Smart Mark tells the fans that he's sure these two men will meet again before too long and to tune into the next show to catch all the action of Windy City on tour, or better yet come and see Windy City Pro Wrestling in person at one of the live tour events!

"Windy City On Tour" #23 - Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin (08/09/14)
As always, each live event is taped for TV and/or DVD releases, but only select matches (marked in blue font) will have match highlights shown on the promotions weekly local Syndicated TV wrap-up show "Windy City On Tour".
Full run-down from the full Live Event card...
1. Marion Fontaine w/Louis Lyndon def. Crash Test Dummy w/Rockstar Spud after an Asai Moonsault (Lionsault) in a pleasing match in which Crash actually got some offence in instead of just taking it!
2. John Cena def. Shane Hollister by DQ ~Cena took on the man who pinned him in the 6-man tag on the last live event after an attack by Bully Ray, and the match which was shaping up to be a competitive barn burner was once again interrupted, this time by both Bully Ray and Daniel Puder who jumped Cena for the obvious DQ. The crowd actually cheered the heels here some as the Chicago anti-Cena hate is well known, but Cena made a spirited comeback in a 2 on 1 hard hitting brawl that actually lasted a few minutes and managed to fight off the bad guys for a moment so he could escape the ring, Cena then grabbed a chair and threatened the heels wanting to fight which actually rose some slight cheers from the anti-Cena crowd.
3. The Usos def. The Irish Airbourne as the two teams meet in tag action instead. A good, solid, hard-hitting competative match that the fans laped up. Hopefully these two teams will meet again on a bigger stage.
4. "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters (NWA Windy City Champion) def. Jack Swagger with The Masterlock in the main-event to retain his championship belt.
1. Kenosha, Wisconsin - 03/09 2. Genoa City, Wisconsin - 06/09 3. Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin - 08/09 4. Latteville, Wisconsin - 09/09 5. Elgin, Illinois - 10/09 6. Joliet, Illinois - 13/09 7. "Windy City On Tour" #24 - Latteville, Wisconsin (09/09/14)
1. Jake Crist w/Dave Crist def. Tweek Phoenix *Dash Pheonix is sidelined injured, and The Irish Airbourne took full advantage.
2. Jimmy Jacobs def. Bo Dallas with a Spear *After the match Jacobs challenged Bray Wyatt to a Cyber TV Championship Match, but Wyatt came out with Luke Harper by his side and said that Jacobs might have gotten past Bo Dallas tonight but he doesn't deserve any title shots, never mind a shot at his title. Wyatt told Jacobs to prove himself by taking on Luke Harper first! Jacobs accepted and the match will take place later on in the Chicagoland tour.
3. Mistico def. Louis Lyndon in a 10 minute match following the La MÃstica (Tilt-a-whirl headscissors transitioned into a single arm DDT floated over into a Fujiwara armbar)in what was a showcase match for the debuting Mistico.
4. Bully Ray w/Daniel Puder def. John Cena by countout when Puder latched on a Keylock on Cena on the outside to cause him to be counted out. After the match with Bully Ray and Puder both in the ring laughing at Cena, Cena grabbed a chair from ringside and slid into the ring going absolutely mental. Cena blasted Puder with the chair square on the head and almost did the same to Bully Ray but he grabbed the ropes and slid out of the ring, before pulling Puder to safety to save him from the super angry Cena.
5. Mark Jindrak (NWA North American Champion) def. Kris Travis to retain the title after interference from Jack Swagger cost Travis a good chance at the NA Title.

"Windy City On Tour" #25 - Elgin, Illinois (10/09/14)
1. Sean Waltman def. Carlito with the X-Factor in a strong performance from Waltman. Waltman told the crowd that he's learned from his defeats to Daniel Bryan and wants to face him again, but this time for the NWA World Jnr Heavyweight Title! But Waltman said he doesn't want the title match just yet, but he does want Bryan in a match or should he say matches. Waltman said he's not going to give up and will face Waltman every day on this tour if he can do as time is precious and that's one thing he no longer has! But when the time is right he will have earned and have demanded a title shot from Daniel Bryan!
2. Tweek Phoenix def. Dave Crist w/Jake Crist via a roll-up for the shock win!
3. Gaydar (Dick Ryder & Jeffery Flockhart) defended the Tag Team Titles against The Usos successfully after some obligatory cheating with Ryder pinning Jimmy with the Gay Basher.
4. Rey Mysterio def. Mistico in a dream match in the main-event with Mysterio pinning Mistico after DDT onto a chair after once again refusing to hit most of his big moves, whether this is Mysterio limiting his moveset due to age/injury or perhaps just a FU to the fans we don't know.
1. Kenosha, Wisconsin - 03/09 2. Genoa City, Wisconsin - 06/09 3. Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin - 08/09 4. Latteville, Wisconsin - 09/09 5. Elgin, Illinois - 10/09 6. Joliet, Illinois - 13/09 7. 2. Daniel Bryan - the NWA World Jnr Heavyweight Champion - beat Sean Waltman via the Yes Lock after a 25 minute battle that left both men exhausted.
3. John Cena def. "The Only Star" Daniel Puder w/Bully Ray via the FU in what was a great action packed 15 minute+ main-event battle. Bully Ray got the last laugh though as he blasted Cena full on in the face with a steel chair after the pinfall.

These shows have been about the best use of John Cena that I've seen so far, and I think he's finally found a place where he can be a proper star and it won't seem out of place. I also like the idea of a 25 minute match between Daniel Bryan and Sean Waltman, as that is a real dream match for me. Gaydar may be my favorite tag team going in the alliance. I also like the way you've cut everything up and denoted what is televised and what is not and how it flows. In an understated, ballsy, and great move in my book that I've been thinking of doing for some time, I really love the April Davis vs. Paige main event from the 9th, and just how long you let it go. I like the idea of showcasing women's wrestling so prominently and having the faith in them to keep the show going, though I wasn't sure if anyone else would agree. Glad to know there is a kindred spirit in that regard here.
